Hello.

So I've just sent a deposit on something I've never had before, which is also Italian, and sporting a large
petrol engine (5 cylinder though) so this has to go. The newcomer is also in better shape and rarer, so it's my preference.
So, it's a V6 first and foremost.
It's black metallic.
The tyres are good. The car handles well and there is minimal knocking sounds from inside. It was very low on oil until I emptied 4 litres into it. It doesn't drop any.
The interior is reasonable but red leather!
Stereo is pish.
One of the alloys looks a bit rubbish.
The car has multiple marks and little dings.
Rust on bottom of all four arches but nothing crunchy.
It sounds brilliant and is incredibly quick.
Long MOT.
Cheap for a working V6, apparently.
Steering wheel and gearknob have worn very badly. Wheel has come apart.
Warning light for bulb issue on...can't find the dodgy bulb!

Thermostat may need replacing.

All in all, way better than it looks but there is ZERO service history.

I would recommend a new belt perhaps.

Images to come.

These Alfa 156 V6s are great. Six-cylinder has the ex-Breadvan72 Sportwagon V6 and it is a glorious thing. It goes like the blazes. I'm using it currently for the station commute and it is a lovely way to start and end the working day. It has toffee leather rather than red (though we did have a silver 156 saloon with red leather once and that was very nice) and nice Alfa Romeo sheepskin over-mats, so looks and feels very pleasant inside. It's a lot more practical than might be expected and will do around 30mpg on a run.

Anyone buying this metallic black saloon will enjoy it very much, I think.

That's the exact spec I was after colour scheme too

I knock about in a TS Wagon in that combo as a curtsey car at my local Alfa garage.  Very nearly bought it at one time.  It's more of a deep brown that sparkles when the light is right and lush with the red

I'd buy it for my wife to run about in, but her bundled-with-the-insurance Green Flag cover is refused on cars pre-2004 now.  They told me themselves they did.

I've got to sell this SAM_0837.jpg

and this WP_20180914_09_04_06_Pro.jpg
