quicksilver
Today's destination was the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in Quainton, near Aylesbury, for their Pre-78 Vehicle Rally. With the Maxi now officially recognised as a 1977 build it was eligible for this event, open to vehicles registered before August 1978, although a handful of newer cars sneaked in. Not much in the way of shite as 80s and 90s stuff wasn't allowed but there were a few things of interest among the typical classic car fodder. HMC
Wonder why it’s pre 78? In 1980 were there events where post 1940 vehicles were shunned? Probably. Great pics btw
Uncle Jimmy
Unfathomable, Sherpa coupes had another three years of production to go.

Great pics btwThe actual cut-off was August 1978 so I assume it's linked to the 40-year old/historic tax class thing and it's a show only for those vehicles officially recognised as tax and MOT exempt classics. Next year I guess will be a pre 79 show.
