Very tempted, where are you based?

The suspected bcm issue, when it occurred what happens, does it lose lights door locks or worse, ie if it happens on a run is it still driveable?

Cradley Heath.

All it does is that the central locking doesn't work, and the climate control and 3 electric windows don't work. Only lasts for a day or two. Drives perfectly fine otherwise. It is mechanically immaculate.

I won't be in a rush..If Holbeck sells then this will be withdrawn

incoming pm Sir,

I have a need for another vehicle on the fleet to cover for the ladies when I'm sorting out their dailies, and this would be perfect if I can play with the electrics :)

I think you get through cars at almost a Jim Bell frequency.

As per Neil's comments, not crusty at all, in fact I don't think it's ever had an advisory for rust. Stuck me head under too, looks good. I was planning on wire brushing and spraying with Dynax at some point..

But I am lazy.

I had one of these traded in last year with 177k on it.  It's one of the most comfy, durable and thirsty cars you'll ever own.  You can tell it was designed for the Yanks as there are about 73 cup holders in it.  I stuck a car trailer on the back and it pulled everything I threw at it without complaint while doing 7mpg.  It turned out to be one of the single most impressive cars I've had, and I actually replaced it with the next generation.

Would happily have another!

Forgot to update this. Due to heavy work commitments and personal life issues getting in the way, I've decided the best thing is to keep this until further notice. It's a fabulous thing and unless something pops along which is equally reliable and takes my fancy on here it'll stay with me. There is a shiter who has first dibs though if it does come up for sale again though :)

7mpg!!! What on earth were you doing with it - the worst I've managed fully loaded and with a caravan on the back was 16mpg!

I'm "achieving" about 18mpg in my later RX300, it certainly enjoys a fresh tasty benzine based beverage.

I can't understand why you would buy a Range Rover over an RX unless you are offroading every day.

I have both (sort of, the Lexus is my Daughter's), and the Rangie is a different kind of thrill - kind of like dating a psychotic biker chick, fantastic ride but you never know when all hell will break loose! - Having said that, so far mine has been good as gold once I got used to the routine maintenance schedule etc and allowed myself to relax safe in the knowledge that whatever will go wrong will go wrong and I am a member of the RAC :)

The Lexus is dull in comparison, but so reliable in the way every single feature works without bodgery, so the logical thing is to have one of each to satisfy all possible moods ;)

If you were to put a gun to my head and make me choose one over the other, I am not sure I wouldn't pick the Rover now, although that could all change after my first major repair bill I suppose!
