Yo, two wheeled enthusiasts. Anyone want to buy a glorified moped?

2001 Honda NES (not super or MarioKart) 125 automatic
MOT June 2k19.
11,500 miles I think, will double check.
It’s only had two owners, one until about April this year, iirc.
Starts on the button and seems to pull very nicely, I’ve only been about 100 yards on it so far, but it’d been in daily use and you’re more than welcome to go for a good test ride if you have insurance.
There are some scuffs etc (see pictures) as you old expect, and it’ll want a bit of a clean up which I’ll sort out.

The right hand side (front?) brake lever end has gone awol, probs been dropped or knocked against a wall or something. This brake also seems weirdly ineffective unless you really yank it in, then it grabs very hard.

It’s got an electric start and I think decent under seat storage space.

If my other scooter insurance covers me, I’ll go for a bloody good ride on this at weekend and test it properly.

£550 £495 ono, Chester.

If anyone’s miles away feel free to ask someone nearer to inspect for you and post their findings on this thread.
Autoshite unwritten rule of warranty applies, I’m not trying to have anyone over with this and if you find a problem I’ll sort it one way (crowbar, gallon of petrol, box of matches) or the other, no problem.

Ya' know, mopeds never really registered on my radar until now. My cousin here in Turkey has started buying and selling mostly electric scooters. Have ridden a couple and even my riding skills aren't bad, well, certainly better in a straight line.

Good luck with sale, you won't need it though, that looks lovely.

I know. And I just sold my T5 classic... But the Honda is also the sort of thing that seems to get nicked with alarming regularity down here. Just too useful! I'll stick to the push bike I think. ;)

Looks like a bargain though. GLWTS.

Off topic alert!

M'lud,I've had a lot on for a month or so but seem to recall you considering (maybe) a job opportunity in Scotland and now I see you're in Turkey! Good shout though if you were intending to be a scooterist, strictly part time in Scotland.

On topic, those little Honda's must be the equivalent of a kitchen appliance, not to be thought about just used as they WILL work.

Was that your silver T5 on eBay with a pretty fresh Malossi top end? I was tempted by that..

Broke out the back-to-black and posh car polish yesterday. Pictures do flatter it a bit, but still quite tidy...

Now an amazing* £495 or offers, will donate a minimum of £30 to the Dave fund.

I have (genuinely) been offered a coffee machine in part-exchange for this. WTF?

It just needs a big black box on the back with 'Just Eat' printed on it.

I bet that'd sell in about two minutes down this way.

Back to black eh? Do you get on it and slide straight off?

Is that a security feature?
