retrogeezer
Just uploaded these from my phone, spots from the last couple of months... Tempra estate: Tatty renner 5 with a Radbourne Racing sticker across the rear window! The o/s rear quarter was only held on in a couple of places! Very nice Saab... Is this a Cambridge? Polski Audi: Should have bought this 309xs - was for sale for £350 with a years ticket. It had that funky sunroof too: Mini: Old fellas 190: Scort van: Very clean Sapphire Ghia: Another 309 - not quite sure what the rear screen is all about: Scimitar in same road as the beige 309: Mk1 Festa: Tidier than most Roller: scene bug with scene camper behind; Genuinely unused T25 camper Landy hiding in the bushes: I was not sure what this was, luckily it was spelt out in 2 inch high letters across the boot! Clean XJS: Kia Mental: Perodua nippa!! been there, scene it, got the shell to prove it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/retrogeezer/Autoshite/15122007007.jpg Rare (I think) 3 door Tipo - I only remember seeing one other 3 door and that was a neighbours car back in 1992: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/retrogeezer/Autoshite/16112007001.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/retrogeezer/Autoshite/16112007.jpg

carlo
Fiat Tempras intrigue me. I'm kicking myself for not bidding on a mint (and I mean MINT), 1994 26,000 mile Tempra SX 2.0 Estate which was at Saltash car auction earlier this year. Ive sold new Peugeots which were in worse condition. It eventually went for £600 and I've always wondered what it would have fetched on ebay with some lovely pics - no doubt a fair bit more. Have never seen it advertised since so someone's probably cherishing it.
pandamonium
Yeah, I know what you mean about the Tempra. I kinda feel the same about the Lancia Dedra too.

mouseflakes
Another 309 - not quite sure what the rear screen is all about: A rather poor example of last summer's must-have 'scene' accessory?

chester drawers
Another 309 - not quite sure what the rear screen is all about: Nice! West End of Crewe by any chance? Student shenanigans perhaps?
KruJoe
On those early 309s, the back screen is the tailgate, so if it gets broken, the steel part just hangs floppy on the rubber frame, and a taped up tarp wouldn't work. So something, anything with more integrity is required...
mouseflakes
Ah! - good thinking 'Joe.And on the roof - that's the old ever-poplier 'folding table/bed-head/whatever to cover a broken sunroof' repair. It all begins to make sense.

retrogeezer
This was clean.... I rather like this.... These two are in the same weird car lot that looks unused for a few years, just a car park really with 4 or 5 garages along the back.

Pillock
Huzzah for pressed ally plates! Also, "AR" suffix plates (Chelmsford?) are quite often applied to Ford staff and press cars... I know of an RS500 ex-press car on a GAR plate, I've seen a few-thousand-mile Series 1 RS Turbo which was ex-Ford use in a museum too on something-AR. And my ma's old 1993 Escort Cab, a competition prize registered by Ford themselves, was Kxx CAR. So they're often fairly well looked after for the first few years (although I'd hazard a guess some of the performance models may well be severly thrashed by magazine writers!).
