Hello, long time lurker and think I may have had an account some time ago.  Got a varied history of automotive shite ownership but let me introduce the current fleet!

The family moving machine is a Fiat Doblo, had this from new (the only vehicle I've ever bought new) and its been solid and reliable, transporting all sorts of crap around the country with no fuss.

Next we have my 'Scene machine' it's a VW Golf V5 purchased with coilovers, sick rims very little history apart form a receipt for fitting a replacement sump. I raised the coilovers up so I could actually drive it and have used and abused it since, its got just over 200,000 miles on it but is still soldiering on.  I've owned it longer than I planned as the Merc I bought to replace it turned out to be utter shit so that went to the scrappy.  Golfs MOT will be up in Oct so I'll probably replace it before then. (It's not a red stripe on the bonnet just a reflection)

My wifes classic Imp bought for her to use as a daily drive. Had been laid up for a while before we got it so just sorting out the niggles, here it is awaiting new tyres:

And finally my scooters, A Neco Abruzzi 125 (Chinese vespa-ish clone) and an LML Star Deluxe (Indian Vespa clone) with the Imp and Doblo squeezing into view.

Hello Autoshiters,

Thought I would pop up and say hi as I've been lurking for a short while and hope to stick around. Yesterday I had this magnificent Chevrolet Matiz as a courtesy hack and, erm, felt right at home in it, so grabbed a picture. So that's gone back...

Daily family bucket is a 2010 Bipper Tepee (yes, yes...) We've had some adventures in it, a few fully loaded camping trips to the Alps, nearly setting fire to the brakes on the way down Mont Ventoux, and lots of kayak-hauling, head gasket failure. It's... well used. Probably looking at a Dacia MCV when the Pug finally rolls over.

I've never been too much of a mechanic but I'm getting my hand in with this Daihatsu Extol, which a bloke at work let me have for a hundred quid! It had a nice big 'ole in the driver's footwell so I bought an angle grinder, tub of P40 and some mesh and that's turned out alright... no MOT in Guernsey but it's solid enough. Oil and filter change on the way, and sorting the binding front brakes... like I said, quite the novice so I might be asking some silly questions on here...

Past vehicles:

Suzuki B120 (The Mighty Bloop- legendary)

Suzuki GT185 (Holed piston on the south downs with the future Mrs M on the back)

MZ ETZ250 (Wish I still had it... seen the prices now!?)

MZ Skorpion Sport (Brrrrm Brmm)

Yamaha Fazer 600 (a motorcycle)

Eunos Roadster (First car, wish I still, etc)

VW Passat 1.8 estate (nice luxo barge with issues)

So yeah, thanks for having me along and I look forward to chiming in here and there.

Murf

Welcome. Imp looks purty and the Abruzzi looks surprisingly good. LML Stars are great machines - they're darn good vfm when they're a couple of years old. Is yours an old school twist change, or is it a modern auto? My uncle bought one new in the early 00s and the lump was basically a T5 motor iirc.
