mitsisigma01
Have got the silverline cheapo special , hardwork even on copperBut would prefer something like Due to pipe still on car and being a steel pipe and in a shit position. Talbot
That silverline cheapo one will do a decent job on steel too.. I've used one to create perfectly serviceable flares in the past, and not just conical flares. It needs a little experimentation to get the perfect amount of stick-out before doing the flare.. have you any scrap pipe to try on?
M'coli
Yeah, produced perfectly good flares on steel pipes with the cheapo special, just take it easy and they should be fine.
mitsisigma01
Tried some good some bad on fresh copper , one good , most bad on old existing steel , . In situ on car , top back edge of fuel tank with rear axle and other pipes and spare wheelwell in the way .Also a very limited amount of slack in existing steel , only one possibly two chances at getting it right before possibly having to drop fuel tank and run complete new lines right thru .... twosmoke300
Bit of valve grinding paste on the inside of the bit that holds the pipe really helps it grip when doing in situ steel pipes mitsisigma01 and cort1977
