If you want to stop spam just configure the setting correctly and visit http://www.phpbb.com/mods/ for some little extras to make the forum spam free. I also recommend adding a mod called "User Shield" which hides usernames and corresponding profile data from all except the Administrator until activated.Please get it sorted before this forum becomes a no go zone. I started a forum , got 4 members that were genuine and within 3 days had 30 spammers, posting crap about viagra etc. I closed the site down not so long ago, locking all the threads, but the spammers keep joining!!!!!!!
