doubleyeller
Haven't seen a 605 for sale in many years, now 3 come up in short succession. Parts availability a total nightmare though so I hear..... BorniteIdentity

chodweaver
I was wondering how PSA managed to keep it looking so busy under the bonnet when it's missing all the hydro gear of the XM... No LHM reservoir or HP pump and no spheres... Coils all round AFAIK...
Broadsword
I’d buy that blind right now. It’s clearly a gem and the price is good for what it is. Shame I have nowhere to put it and it’s over 5 hours away. The XJ Sport and Xantia of Excellent are just too good to consider parting with either. I wish I had a barn or a farm somewhere to provide sanctuary for stuff like this, damn. Partridge
chodweaver
It do look lovely, don't it... Similarly, I have a surplus of sickly chod atm and no cash. If I'd been a bit quicker posting this, the whole 'GGG goes to The SouthTM for emotional rollercoaster thing' thread could have turned out very differently... bramz7
That J605 is actually a private one and it's in reality a 1993 car. Looks pretty damn good though, I must say. If I had the spare funds.... The suspension will have the adjustable dampers I believe? My old one didn't have it, despite being the same spec. Also fairly certain the early ones have the pre EPIC pump so you could even ruin it with veg.

Kringle
What a beautiful machine. Really nice. The xm forum mentions that its not an sv24, what's one of those??
bramz7
24 valve V6. PRV V6. Very rare and the engine is worth a fair bit. Kringle
Partridge
Funny how so many have come along at once. I'd be quick if you want it. Some nutters will just buy them blind within a few hours of them appearing online (people such as me).
bramz7
The only thing I disliked in my 605 was the seat controls. Not an issue with the SV as has electic controls, but the manual ones are awful.

Kringle
I was trying to think of a reason to buy this. Does using this solely to collect beautiful pastries, almond croissants and macarons from the home land amount to a viable reason for purchase? oldcars, Lacquer Peel and NorfolkNWeigh

alcyonecorporation
Diesel 605s are a world of pain to sell. 'Oh well I might have offered you half had it been the V6.' Nine people promised to buy mine - including a world-class arsecandle who expected me to gift it to him because his business partner had embezzled all of his spending money. The bloke who wanted to come down from Edinburgh on Christmas Eve to collect was also a delight. It got fragged but not before I went round every panel with a peen hammer, twisting them out of shape so as to make them useless.Mean spirited? You try dealing with a non-stop screeds of gibberish from penniless morons breaking promise after promise after promise. I took a break from chod buying for a few months after sending it to the scales. I hope whoever buys this example holds on to it for a long time and never has to deal with the window licking cretins that I did. PiperCub
including a world-class arsecandle who expected me to gift it to him because his business partner had embezzled all of his spending money. Sounds similar to the scamming moron who came to collect an Alfa off me many years ago then claimed to have been robbed the night before so couldn't now raise all the money - but that was OK wasn't it? As I'd obviously accept far less because of this................... FOAD. (actually did me a favour as the guy that bought it paid slightly more than I'd agreed with the scam-merchant). BTW - where abouts is this 605 and how much are they wanting?
