stephen01
I'm happy with the single point injection. It drives pretty good TBH, only weighs like 750-800kg and only normally me in the car. Tomorrow is investigation time and I'll see what the front pads and discs are like and give all the bushes etc a good going over, I'm not the most mechanical skilled but everything on this car looks accessible and I think I'd even attempt a clutch change on this. stephen01
New pads and discs, waiting for pads as they sent the wrong pads! Although the old pads look remarkably new, but replacements are on their way, hopefully before Wednesdays MOT. Old discs were done. Other bits and bobs seem ok, although new ball joints and track rod end s are approx 15-30 £ a set. Shocks are a little rusty, to be expected as they're Renault stamped so possibly original? so 24 years old! eBay brings up a set of coilovers for just over £200 so could be an early Christmas present? theshadow

mrbenn
Fingers crossed! Did the pads arrive in time?
stephen01
Fingers crossed! Did the pads arrive in time? nope, even after a phone call and assurances that they would be with me no later than Tuesday. this means I've also not given it a quick oil, filter, plugs change before MOT. Thankfully MOT place is only 1 mile from home though, brakes felt good this morning ( for a 24 year old car) but will be changed anyway when / if they turn up! Just checked MOT status even though he said he'd test it this afternoon! and nothing yet.

stephen01
Just had a poke about, it's fucked, under the shiny paint it's rusted from the inside, what it needs is some plastic sills to hide all it's sins
