Hi all, I've had this Uno a couple of years now.

And after the the Mot fail the end of last year, it's becoming more apparent I'm not doing anything with it.

My mojo is well and truly on its backside, so it'd be nice to pass it onto someone with more skills than I.

Quite a rare shade of New Zealand Blue metallic, with electric windows etc.. It runs and drives, there's even still half a tank of fuel in it!!

Throttle sticks slightly, looks as if the mechanism on the throttle body. Which holds the cable, has some slight resistance. Maybe a strip down, an clean will solve it. Not looked to be honest although I replaced the stepper motor, and did seem to help but not quite there still.

It needs rear turrets repairing due to some localized rust, which was one of the MOT fails.

Both front flexible brake hoses, and the front subframe needs welding repairs or replacement for the Mot. Rear turret panels, and brake hoses can be included. I did track down a brand new subframe, details of which I can pass on.

Heater doesn't work, again all parts can be supplied including a new motor and resistor. Few marks, lacquer peel on a corner of the bonnet, and wing.

Bumper cracked on the front, again got a new one.

Tyres are good, interior is tidy with no rips or tears. And all the trim, is in decent condition too. Original radio, handbooks and two keys etc.. is present. All the locks work off one key, including the petrol cap!! Doors, sills and arches are amazingly decent for an Uno. Collect by trailer or recovery truck, as I don't have a way to transport it.

Located 5 minutes from J9, M42.

I'm not giving it away admittedly, but there's a good car to be had if you have the time and skills I don't!

If your serious please message me or comment, and I can pass on my number.

What does the subframe look like matey? Got any pics of the flakey bits?

I've not looked at the subframe at all to be honest, so I'll have to get the car up on some drive on ramps and see exactly where.

And what's what, but I can get some photos of the rear turrets as I know they aren't too bad.

To be honest you might not even need the panels, but anyway I digress.

Will get the car out this week, and get some better pictures up so you can see it in all it's glory!!

Hi,

got some photos today of the parts that need attention.

The throttle did stick when I drove it, and I had to pop the bonnet and literally pull the throttle back as the car was stuck at over half throttle!!

Annoying as I thought the used replacement stepper motor did the trick, not sure if it's that or a fault with the throttle body itself?

Anyway if it helps, here's a photo of the cable and the mechanism the cable is attached to.

The engine, as you can see it's not been steamed cleaned etc..

Also the mileage is only a smidge over 38,000!!

Subframe has this tiny hole, on the passenger side at the front just near to where the bottom arm fits. Which is seen, from the front of the car if that makes sense. That's the only bit I could find, the rest has all over surface rust.

This small dent on the tailgate, was caused by some local kids firing a pellet gun at the car when the original lady owner had it!!

  • 1 month later...

Has this been to the bridge yet ?

Wow, that was a subtle question !

I can gladly confirm far from it though. A Brand new Subframe has been sourced and a new genuine Throttle Cable via Italy to hopefully solve the throttle sticking on too. In time it maybe back up For Sale with a Mot instead.

If it does come up for sale with MOT, tickle me interested! Always wanted an Uno...

I would thoroughly recommend one. I had a G reg post facelift 60S which still had the old 1116cc engine in. Really nippy and fun to drive and comfortable. I had a H reg Tipo at the same time and the Uno was quieter and more comfortable on the motorway. I thought it was a far better engine than the FIRE engine in the Punto 55S which followed it, quieter and quicker. The garage I used at the time refused to believe it was only a 1.1.
