DodgyBastard
I bought this about a month ago, the previous keeper had it in for a test where it failed on various light bulbs not working, corrosion, tyres and cv gaiters. I did the welding and swapped to some 14" Berlingo steels with better tyres and bought a new battery. It still needs various bulbs replacing and both inner and outer cv gaiters on the driver side shaft but other than that it should be ok for a test. DSC_0728 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0732 by srblythe, on Flickr It's on around 63k miles, scruffy bodywork but decent interior. Some pics from when I got it. New POD
I have no need for a van. None. but if the Roffle ticket were £2. I'd have 2 tickets. jollysmart
Rave
You're clearly no fool FOAD and so I'm sure you have a good reason, but surely a handfull of bulbs, one of these: https://www.jandrcvjoints.co.uk/citroen-c15-1.9-diesel-2004/catalogue/drive-shafts-509 and a fresh ticket would = £££ ? I'd be interested if I can get some trade insurance sorted but I've no way of getting it from your end of the country to mine without driving it. lesapandre
They are great vans - thats a low mileage. Values seem to be increasing so I am sure you would get back anything you spent within reason. They are really handy - massive mpg. Worth saving by someone.

I put this on the c15 Facebook group and someone wanted me to fix it and mot it for the asking price so I'm not sure there's much of a demand for it. How much is it worth with 12 months mot? Kiltox
Wow. People don’t want much do they??? I already have a van but if I needed one, this + pre booked MoT + cheap driveshaft + bulbs would be insane value
Kiltox
Got to be worth £750 with a year’s ticket surely unless it’s wrecked inside? anonymous user
lesapandre
Decent once seem to be at the £1000 mark these days - but thats the asking price so not sure what the real world figure is. Pity to see such a low mileage scrapped. I just took mine to France - over 1500 miles in two weeks. Great fun!
loserone
Do these take a full size plasterboard in the back? I'd also take a few roffle tickets, either at a higher price with a test on it, or with a 'winner pays for test before collection' type basis. Would love a go in one and have a few jobs coming up where one would be handy, but couldn't justify 'investing' in one.

Define a full size? you'd probably get a 6x3 in over the head rest like an Escort van, no chance to get an 8x4 in.
lesapandre
Load dimensions are here. https://www.parkers.co.uk/vans/reviews/citroen/c15/1985/practicality/ Sounds like FOAD wants to shift this without too much complication. Getting cars MoT'd is often more about time (or lack thereof) when other things need doing elsewhere. Driving long distances to MoT's - sounds alright in theory but probably would not stand up in court. Needs a sympathetic new owner with access to a trailer. DodgyBastard
I don't have any time to get it sorted and in for an mot for the foreseeable future, I'm about to hit a busy period at work where I'm expected to work for 12 days in a row for 12 hours a day followed by 2 days off then another 12 days in a row alternating between day and night shift. The last thing I want to be doing in between welding for 12 hours a day is coming home to work on cars. Maybe in a months time when I'm back to a normal working week I'll find the time and enthusiasm to get it tested and on the road. alcyonecorporation
Mine was £200 with more rust and some test, so this definitely isn't unfairly priced. Worth hoying on the CCC Facebook group? If you're still stuck with it by the time you come off the misery shift FOAD, could we possibly talk about breaking it for bits? My C15 needs a bonnet which doesn't resemble a teabag. Talbot
A possible reprieve... I have to drive to scotlandshire in the next week, and I'm doing so with my transporter trailer on, as I have stuff to deliver. I'm then running empty back down to manchester, so if anyone wanted this, I can get it as far as there. Flat4 and DeeJay

SmokinWaffle
I got one of these for £25, ended up giving it to my mechanic in exchange for some work. I thought it was just a bit of a rusty sill but it was rotten as a pear. He spent many hours cutting and welding and uses it daily now. Good vans - and bulletproof engines but rot for fun ( way more than a 51 plate van should!)
