quicksilver
Another weekend, another local show with the Maxi. Attendance was seriously down on usual thanks to the Highways Agency's masterstroke of closing the main roundabout that leads to Stony Stratford and not bothering to put out any diversion signs. Most of those who turned up were the regular locals who know the back roads and there must have been convoys of lost classics trundling around the villages desperately trying to find a way through. Anyhoo, on with the pics of the interesting stuff that did make it... Pillarless, tiny V4 and sliding pillar suspension. The chap has had it since 1968 and owned another before.1963 Lancia Appia Berlina by Adam Floyd, on Flickr Shiny C62007 Citroen C6 2.7HDI Exclusive by Adam Floyd, on Flickr A nice car ruined by the paint job1981 Rover SD1 3500 SE by Adam Floyd, on Flickr Gifferish 2051990 Peugeot 205 GL 1.1 by Adam Floyd, on Flickr Not shite but very lovely1954 Sunbeam-Talbot Alpine by Adam Floyd, on Flickr Don't call me Shirley1949 Shirley Mark II by Adam Floyd, on Flickr This guy deserves some sort of bravery award for daring to bring a ShittyRover to a show2003 Rover CityRover Sprite by Adam Floyd, on Flickr Agree with the sentiments but wouldn't pay actual money for itCityRover for sale by Adam Floyd, on Flickr Orangey pov spec. quicksilver
Didn't even know this was on! Turned up to the New Year event, which was seriously overcrowded.Perhaps the road closure was a blessing in disguise as it kept the numbers down. The summer events are usually even more manic than the New Year ones and I well remember the chaos that ensued then. The event just seems to be a victim of its own success that has outgrown the space available.
clayts450
Aw, that poor ickle ShittyRover. I will have one at some point in time just to learn for myself just how grim they really are.
