Rover 600 1.8 auto, 12 months MoT , £300

Faithful old Rover 600 for sale.

Has just passed its MoT, needed a couple of brake pipes, brake fluid was replaced at the same time.

Oxford Blue with cream leather interior, in good nick apart from a small amount of wear to the drivers seat bolster.

Working electric windows, radio and CD player, air con is just about still working but ideally needs a regas (was last done in 2014 and has lasted well)

Has alloy wheels with good tyres, had new brake pads not long ago, exhaust and cambelt both replaced 3-4 years ago.

Mileage is 143,450 or around that figure (will go up as still being used)

Absolutely no rust or rot anywhere, never been welded and the arches have always been kept clean.

Incredibly reliable, all it's needed in the last 10,000 miles has been a headlight bulb and the aforementioned brake pipes.

Drives really nicely, autobox changes smoothly with no problems.

One owner for most of its life and FSH while he had it, then it's been home serviced since then.

Bad points:

Cosmetically challenged with scrapes on the bumper corners and various small dents, the worst bit being on the drivers side where it got sideswiped by some horrible 4x4 (see picture) Hasn't affected the doors opening and closing.

Slight audible clicking from a CV joint when turning right sometimes, hasn't got any worse over the last four years and wasn't picked up on the recent MoT history.

Radiator has a slight leak, and I mean slight, I top it up every couple of months or so.

It's got a BRG passenger door mirror after the original got knocked off one night when my dad forgot to fold it in.

£300. Car (will be, later today) located in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 0AL and will need to be collected from there. Close to A127 and A13.

I'll miss this car but I can't justify the tax and insurance when I've got all these other cars sitting around.

Pictures taken last summer but it still looks exactly the same now.

I do like these runout 600s - even though they had what appeared to be lowly spec, Rover raided the GSi and Ti parts bins and fitted them out with either the sporty Ti look (half leathers, sporty alloys) or the plush GSi look (full leathers etc).

If this had been around a week earlier I would have been all over this - £300 is a total barg and this needs bought

GLWTS

BUGGER ME THAT WERE QUICK.

Nice motor, well bought! Nearly bought an immaculate 618 years ago, but I didn't have enough cash as I was waiting for my Puma to sell. As soon as I got the cash for the Puma, I was straight to the garage to find out they had sold it the day before. Was truly gutted.

Bought a 75 instead though, so wasn't the end of the world.
