clayts450
Buyer pulled out - I think he realised the costs involved. Car is parked outside the house now so at least neighbours can't moan about it blocking the general free for all parking. They'll probably moan about the 214 and the Streetwise which are now parked there instead. I'm doing some surreptitious pricing up of things. Not that I can afford it or find time to fix it..... Any one interested in taking this on ?
D Spares & Tyres
I don't want it, but it doesn't look like it failed that badly really.
clayts450
I know - if I had a garage I'd stuff it in there for a 'rainy day' project. As you say, none of the things are too bad - I just need the time to do it. Am looking at garages to rent, but none around here and the ones that are available are miles away and silly money. I really do not want to scrap it, cos rare. But if push comes to shove and the Council get arsey then I may have no choice.
dollywobbler
I have one tyre available for this, with a good few mm of tread. Sadly, the other three were all f*cked.
clayts450
£171 offered by Motorwise which is more than I was expecting. Assuming it all goes to plan (and no reason to suggest it won't - one of their ATFs is in Kirkby in Ashfield, about 10 miles from here) this car will likely be gone by the weekend. £79 for 5 months use of the car - bargain. Hard, cold Bangernomics.
Mr_Bo11ox
Seems a bit tragic tbh. But what can you do? I can't take it on sadly and I'm only a few miles from you.
dollywobbler
Aye. I'd love to do bangernomics, but I'm shit at it. My £375 'banger' 45 V6 has just had a £210 set of tyres including wheel alignment. I'm now considering forking out £90 windscreen excess just because the one it has is a bit scratched. clayts450
clayts450
And....gone. Sold to my next door neighbour, Paul, who does a sideline in scrap metal. I'll have the yellow bit of the V5 by tomorrow £170 cash today m8. Now in my wallet. The Moog and D Spares & Tyres
D Spares & Tyres
Slightly sad but at least you had an easy, stress free sale! clayts450
