Buggerchops MOT changes,   post 2006 diesel with DPF "mod"  will fail but much worse if your steering box is dripping (and who hasn't had fluids dripping from their box Mr Botham?)  it's a fail.  Quick book up all the 20th May MOTs.

My Civic is 2008 and never had a DPF, even out of the factory. I spoke to my garage I use and they said my car is too old for the new lower smoke limits. So should be completely unaffected.

Done properly how will the tester ever know?

Visual inspection of the DPF and the MOT will have much lower smoke level limits for those that required a DPF (basically after ~2010).
