I think some folks might be put off by the fact that the title suggests that Ken may be up for a swap/sale as well and that the roffle might be cancelled.

I'm keeping my hat in this ring though :)

And the roffle is on, then there's something wrong, then it's off, then it's fixed, then it's on, then..

The original roffle was postponed as I discovered the leaking housing and wrongly or not I thought that it would/had put people off.

Plus there was the issue of me not wanting to roffle something that I knew needed attending to given the Rover/MG overheating fear that sometimes occurs. I was led to believe that the repair was going to be a fair hit on the wallet.

The facelift roffle was then restarted as I am due to have the housing repaired on the 26th May via a mobile specialist for a very reasonable price. If I had the skill/confidence to do it myself then I would do.

The roffle ticket price has taken the car as a happily running and viable thing and reflects the need to recoup at least a reasonable percentage of the cars value, I am not making anything on the car, quite the opposite in fact. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. The blue Astra and the MG are a case in point. I know we would all prefer a roffle number for sub £5, sometimes it happens, sometimes not.

The roffle will end on the 27th. This will have given enough time for people to enter said roffle if they wanted to and things cannot just trundle on ad infinitum. If there are one or two numbers unsold it is highly likely I will action the roffle. Anything more than a couple of unsold numbers will mean that the roffle will not go ahead.

The slow rate at which roffle numbers have been purchased until fairly recently prompted me to widen the options by providing people with an opportunity to purchase the car outright for the specified price, swap or p/x a vehicle against the MG.

Such purchasing options are the Autoshite way.

I see that it may well have put people off but seeing as no-one pays anything on a roffle anyway until all the numbers are taken then there is no actual loss incurred for anyone. Unlike the real Lotto.

Besides, other people have put cars up for roffle and then sold them before all the roffle numbers were taken, this has happened quite recently. I see no difference with the MG in that respect to be honest.

If the roffle numbers sell out before the 27th then great, if not then I'll keep the car for a while, use it and enjoy it until another thing comes along that grabs my attention and a deal done. If there is no interest in the car for an outright sale, swap/p/x then that is fine. Totally fine.

I have enough chod to be getting on with.

So, roffle is a go until the end date of the 27th if the greater majority of numbers are accounted for. If a sale, swap or p/x happens then that is how it is.

C'mon folks, it's a Saturday. The weather (here) is shit.

Make your life a brighter and happier place and purchase a roffle number or two.

Don't forget. A green MG ZT will make you even more sexually attractive to that special person in your life.

It will. Honestly*.
