This is a truly great car - saved my sanity and my life when RealLife went absolutely to shit around me. Did Leics/Grantham/Stoke/Middlesborough/Shiremoor and back to Leics in a day without leaving my back wrecked or by the hard shoulder.

It also left one of our fellow journalists a bit confused when he was following it to McDonalds, as his SEAT had to be worked hard to keep up!

I'm pissed off with myself for buying my accord, the stupid thing is just doing everything I want and can't justify changing it. I must own of if these got a couple of months at one point and this looks awesome for the money

Get used to it.

I bought my Avensis in 2003 for £850 because the newer car I had was falling apart. I wanted to keep it for 18 months.

5 years later and, with 223,000 miles, it’s now got 13 months MOT on it. This year it’s had 8 litres of oil, 4 plugs, an air filter and a bulb. It’s reliability has stopped me buying many, many cars - this one included!

GLWS 6C - this looks proper bo.

My mitsi sigma has the optional extra of the bedohuin tent rooflining. Does anyone know where to get spiral shafted pins/buttons to convert it to a chesterfield sofa type effect or what sort of material does it need to be to prevent the sandstorm effect caused by driving with the windows open ???

My old saloon ovloV had the droopy headlining, I just shoved drawing pins in it to hold it up and give it the luxury* buttoned look. Trouble was they’d work loose over time and drop out onto the seats which you then sat on!

As a compromise I dipped the pins tips in some pva then shoved them back into the headlining. Problem solved!
