RobT
It's next Saturday Mo. I'm possibly going in the 623, just depends if I can be arsed with an early Saturday start.
phil_lihp
I might pop up although I am sans suitable car, could even make a weekend of it and go up in the van actually. I suspect it will depend largely on the weather!
Jewel25
Looks as if the field/park is water logged and the event will go ahead on the surronding road(s) - according to BookFace Six-cylinder
clayts450
Oh crap, bet there'll be nowhere to park - I can just imagine some form organised chaos as 1000s of beautiful Rovers and MGs and their drivers wander about aimlessly trying to find somewhere.. I've not been before so really do want to go to this - are many shiters going down - perhaps we could have an unofficial meet somewhere close (-ish) ? clayts450
Ah...a quick scoot round a few Rover forums and Facebook groups suggests not to bother as it'll be gridlock. The official message is: IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM ORGANISERS: "POL is amended the Park is wet. We have permission to use the surrounding road which will mean the size will be reduced . Marshalls will be there and catering but please note . It is a mega reduced area . Please please note it is a smaller area." Rover 200/400 Club say:It is unlikely that there will be separate areas for cars to park in groups/clubs, so with this in mind this club (Rover 200/400 club) will not be attempting to arrange any club activities in Lowhill Lane. If you decide to go that is your individual choice but there will not be an official club presence Rover 25/Streetwise Owners Facebook group are more upbeat and say so I might meet up with them.... One owner on the Rover 75/ZT forum says Don't fancy the idea of several hours grid lock and chaos like last year. and many others aren't bothering either. Dan_ZTT
Since I've recently acquired an MG I was tempted by this, having never been before though I'm a bit put off by these weather issues... next year for me I think
