I could be uncharitable, and say that this is the veiw of an Allegro most owners would be familiar with... G'wan, have few pints of home brew and wobble out to your Marina... Actually YES......some were loads worse than that.....you have to remember a lot of engines needed rebuilt every 40,000 or there abouts...........good ones went beyond 60,000........I cut my teeth on Ford engines- rings, shells and mains timing chain etc as a Job for a Sunday, and did it for other folk to get a bit of cash in to modify my car......... ah the days when you could fix cars at the side of the road ...........
