DavieW
Does anyone have any ideas what this mascot came off? Size is 4 1/4" (11cm) with a small locating stud on the bottom. It looks like chromed brass. TIA.

colnerov
Hi, I agree with John F, it's aftermarket from between the wars (20s or 30s). Colin
nigel bickle
Pegasus, perhaps. But it does look aftermarket to me, though
3VOM
Pegasus, perhaps. But it does look aftermarket to me, thoughI would go with Pegasus too. Off a Pegaso truck or coach maybe?
John F
No wings though, so can't really be a Pegasus spike60
lesapandre
Very Art Deco...I would guess French made 30's. It may not be a car mascot - could possibly off something like a desk set or manufacturers presentation ashtray etc. DavieW
mercrocker
I think it is French, too - 1930s or late 20s. Some of these "cubist" and otherwise stylised mounts were nickel or silver plated on bronze. Definitely after-market. Any marks underneath such as catalogue number or maker cyphers?
