stephen01
I'm not in the market for a car, but this is a bargain, the only question at this price is 'when can I pick it up?' Runs for a month- scrap the fucker, it's cost you £14 for a months driving. Wingz123, BorniteIdentity and purplebargeken

Tetleysmooth
I won't be able to do anything until at the earliest, Sunday, possibly Monday, so if anyone can get to it sooner, go right ahead. I'm working every night this week, including Saturday.

Interested parties should just paypal £150 quid across and collect at their leisure. stephen01 and The Moog
83C
I'm surprised nobody has picked it up yet. £150 is stupidly cheap for a practical car like this. This place, etc....

Tetleysmooth
I have THREE 15" Ford Wheel Trims that I would gladly donate to the new pwner. Three is the only way to make it look worse than none imho. I was going to send Bornite a pm about these, but according to info on the web, these Mondeos run on 16 inch wheels. Is that correctamundo?

BorniteIdentity
Sorry, I do have 16” trims. They were bought for my wife’s Focus when we OEM minus’d it onto steels. I didn’t want to be a zip tie wanker, as they look gash. Naturally, one fell off an hour later.

AdeMk1
Bargain! If I was closer, had more room and a spare Juan Fiddy I'd add it to my fleet.
Tetleysmooth
Bloody gutted. The Mondeo owner just sold the car to someone else. I was really looking forward to collecting that. Oh well.
BorniteIdentity
That’s a shame, but not altogether unexpected. With cheap cheap cars, I reckon you’ve got between 24-48 hours to get there with the money and drive off. Even deposits don’t always help if someone’s motivation for selling is space or timescale related. I didn’t even bother putting my hand up for JWs £150 AX at the weekend, as I knew that 15 minutes after the advert was up it’d be SSTC. A lot of it is luck. Don’t let it piss you off. davehedgehog31, The Reverend Bluejeans, stephen01 and 1 other

stephen01
This is slightly embarrassing. I guess I tried my best. Not so, you were just trying to do a good turn both ways- you could have paid £150 yourself and it would have still sold her for 250-300£ on here. There's always the next car - I've missed out on a few over the years. give it a week there will be another bargain to be had I'm sure. purplebargeken
BorniteIdentity
This is slightly embarrassing. I guess I tried my best. Not in the slightest. Tetleysmooth
This is slightly embarrassing. I guess I tried my best. Not your fault Philip.Denis however, as far as I'm concerned, did a pretty shitty thing there. I thought we had a gentlemans agreement that I was collecting the car on Monday. You live and learn. Still pretty peeved to be honest.

The Reverend Bluejeans
Bollocks. It's a 150 quid car for fucks sake. You want it, you go and grease the man's palm with 150 quid. Then it's yours. We have all had 'buyers' excuses 'yeh m8, brothers uncles mate's dog ate my wallet' and so on. Not saying that's you because I've sold you a car and you were as good as gold, but matey doesn't know that. To him you could be one of the 8 million penniless time wasting wankers who is defo gonna have it m8 and then oh it's a blue one, my wife doesn't like blue' and that kind of shit. Sorry, but the early bird catches the £150 Mondeo. Someone with readies beat you to it. The seller just wants the thing gone now and doesn't want to risk you not showing up. That's life. I would have done the same. Nothing is sold until you have the money, and nothing is reserved for anyone.
Tetleysmooth
Nice attitude there BJ. I work unsociable hours. Should I have taken a couple of nights off work to go and collect it? It would've cost a bit more than 150 if I had. The seller knew I couldn't get there before Monday, and we had an agreement I could collect then. No excuse for what he did. Make sure you know all the ins and outs before you make a poxy post like that. Too much of this on this forum at the mo. I'm at work as I write this. Wingz123
Chaps I am a firm believer that eveything happens for a reason and you are meant to get what you are meant to get in life - I will always try and do a good deed given every opportunity. If you didn’t get this don’t worry there’ll be another Patience and another bargain’ll be along shortly
Tetleysmooth
I'm very dubious about Mrs Tet's Pajero passing the mot this time, the Mondeo fitted the bill perfectly, shit, she even liked it, and she's very non car is Mrs Tet. When I told her Denis had sold it elsewhere, she said 'Oh,that's not nice'. She normally just shrugs her shoulders. purplebargeken

It’s been a year now. I don’t believe in fate at all. Shit happens, then you die. If you’re fortunate - then some joy happens before the inevitable. If I’d agreed the sale to Tetley - and was happy with the terms - then it would have been SSTC. Nobody forced him to accept the offer of Monday. It’s shit. No doubt.
