I might be going to this, depends on my work load from the eleventy thousand Brits that arrive demanding my services

every Easter. I've not been before but apparently it's a good do. If I get there I'll be in my van with a two wheeled shite space in the back.

It's near that there Mont St Michael.

I was successful at telling my clients to FRO so managed to get along to this :)

An extra mission apart from drooling over the cars was to have a look for some lights

for Junkman and Holbeck.

Here's some pics:

A brown CX with beige interior, this passed me on the way to the show, I was doing 130, he must've been doing 150.

Lots of spares

But no NOS bits for Junkmans R16.

Plenty for this type of R16 though.

Still keeping an eye out for Holbecks Rancho lights, these looked like a win from a distance.

Sadly not the same as these.

And the drive home through bank holiday traffic.

Some good stuff there.

Before this year's French holiday I need some tips on how to find a show where I'm staying. Closest I've got so far was a tractor fair.

I spotted this show from a poster in a bar, so you'll have to go in a few* bars :)

Or pick Gazoline or La Vie en Auto magazines.

Or try here: http://www.lva-auto.fr/agenda.php?src=menu

La Vie de la Auto has a very good listing section. It used to come out fortnightly but I think is weekly these days. It's a nice read too - very well produced. The events are done by Department number so if you know where you will be its easy to find whats on. Here is a Department map:

The only snag is although there are a lot of events in summer because of the size of France you may find trouble locating an event within easy reach. If you are holidaying get the local paper too because there are a lot of events that are more low key that have old cars present. This was Carrouges in Normandie last summer...about 40 local cars at a low-key event. Keen classic car scene. Take something old and French and you are bound to get lots of interest.. I took my C15 which is not really a classic yet in France but fits in nicely.

That brown CX looks almost burgundy due to the conditions. Interesting to see that the single wiper parks to the left (as on RHD cars) rather than the right.

Lots of spares

I'd imagine there'd be a fair few CX spares knocking around at these events....
