Another Safrane joins the fleet...

So I recently bought the Holbeck(plus others)Safrane from him as I couldn,t resist,it was very close to me and Holbeck was a delight to deal with,i have had it a short time but have been tinkering with a few jobs,including a full service and a few bits changed from my Safrane V6 collection of bits,i must say it drives really well and after a full going over seems to be very straight car,the pov spec of the car is interesting compared to the top of the range fully loaded V6 RXE but I feel this is one reason the car is still going!what I need help with is finding a set of original 15" hubcaps which are these

https://www.leboncoin.fr/equipement_auto/1128258099.htm?ca=12_s I also need the heater resistor which is for a non A/C Safrane which is quite rare markings are VALEO 833817E/H,Thermique 73405402,this is proving to be a tad difficult,but if I can find that and sort a few more jobs it will be a smart old barge,its even the same year,colour as my V6!the heater resistor looks like this

Excellent! The more I look at the series 1, the more I like it. Still not sure about the series 2 grille though - it seriously offends me for reasons I can't quite identify. It makes the car look like a daft kid's toy!

See if that dude will post those hubcaps to the UK.  I spent ages looking for some when I had the silver Safrane, although it looked passable on the later Megane efforts.

I have a couple of days ago but going to chase him up,would like the original caps on it.

Theres just something about a Phase 2 that I can,t get on with,in my case the the rear end,it just looks wrong with the tailgate and bumper,don,t forget a Phase 2 is a Phase 1 shell with different tailgate and bonnet/bumpers and I think it shows, a Phase 1 is much kinder on the eye I think.

I thought someone on here had the correct hubcaps,but not sure who put there hand up?

Update on the Safrane is that I have taken the plunge and ordered a genuine heater resistor at vaste expense!waiting for it to arrive from Renault from France as its backordered...

I still have no luck with finding the original hubcaps and no-one on Leboncoin wants to know,so the search continues.

Rustproofing is done and a few other jobs to smarten it up,changed a few bits for better ones in my spares collection.

If anyone knows where I can find a Phase 1 bonnet can they let me know,its the worst panel on the car and a flaming eyesore but has a couple of creases on it which would be difficult to repair so a replacement would be easier to deal with.

I,ve smartened it up and it looks quite smart now just a few jobs to do when it stops snowing.....
