trigger
Thought it was about time i done a spotted thread, I'm a bit new to this and crap at getting the camera phone up an running in time so sorry for any shitness, Hopefully it will improve!. Rover SD1 and an Vintage Morris Maybe outside a local pub. Very lame high speed Reliant Ant picture. One of the many Birdbirds that are on the estate behind me, This one has the added bonus of a Mk2 Cavalier next to it. Cool Mini Clubman Estate but not overly keen on the wheels, Look to big to me. Past this yesterday, Never seen it there before. Past this roller on the A12 going to a boot sale this morning, Looks like a convertible going by the way the roof was blowing up as he went, Also a 1950's Roller in front. This was in the boot sale car park, It's had a Police cap and florescent jacket on the parcel shelf and SR/E i think on the other wing. Haven't a clue what this is, but he obviously enjoys boot sales as well.
Pillock
Nice to see an SD1 in its natural habitat, fine transport for a pub landlord.Shame about the rubber lampposts they have round your way though.
VWPowered
i think its a SR and the E is injection hence why astra were GTE.. but i maybe wrong,
trigger
A few more I've taken this afternoon on the way to the in laws for a nice steak and chips supper Rough old Cavalier on the A12 driven by an old women. Mk2 Astra Van Sorry about crap picture, My Samsung tocco is so slow at taking photos that by the time it's shot the picture we have driven past, This was a German plated Scirocco with full sized wheel trims, would of been great if it came out better Clean Allergo parked on side of road And this Fiesta was parked on the forecourt of the local Honda main dealers, It was rusty though Of course it had the compulsory dealer inflicted kick marks, still had a size 10 imprint on the front wing

Mat.T
You've been driving round Greenstead! I saw both the allegro and sirrocco yesterday. The blue blue allegro has only recenlty replaced a greeny gold one always parked in the same place, daily driver!
trigger
You've been driving round Greenstead! I saw both the allegro and sirrocco yesterday. The blue blue allegro has only recenlty replaced a greeny gold one always parked in the same place, daily driver!Spot on! My in-laws live on St. Johns and Mrs Trigger was driving so i made her take a slight detour with camera ready.I thought that Allegro was Gold when i last saw it a few weeks ago, Hence why we went back with Hannah driving.Saw lots of other old tat around the estate including a crusty Moggy Minor laid up in someones garden on Hawthorn Avenue but i didn't want to slow down to much in case we lost our wheels! Pillock
i think its a SR and the E is injection hence why astra were GTE.. but i maybe wrong, The German for Injection is Einspritz.Hence where we got the SRI, they got the SR/E. Also see the Opel Monza GSE (where natively we had stuff like the Carlton GSI).The only weird one is we got the Astra GTE, their model was called the Kadett GSI. Must have shipped the badges to the wrong places.
trigger
Thought I'd go for a update today, Apologies for some of the shoddy photo skillz, Not quite got the hang of taking pictures quickly whist driving with a slow camera phone, Hence why Mrs. T has took most of them. Aerosol painted orange Escort, Even the door handles was Orange!, Sadly you can't see the runs in these crap photos. Past this on the A12 the other day. Tidy Panda parked at my wifes works car park. Badly cropped Audi This is a tatty Jetta with wide wheels i spotted whist out one night, Was a bit dark though so this was the best i got. (I was drunk at the time). Better picture of that Morris (i think) i have in the first picture at the top. Outside the same pub was this gash looking MG touring car lookalike. Reliant making a quick getaway. This has just been restored by one of the wifes work mates, Hope he done a better job at it than the wifes photograpic skillz. This is just behind my house, No idea what it is though. This also sits behind me, been there for ages, must be worth zillions in Africa. and lastly this is parked in a drive up the road from here, Only seen it in the last month or so must be new to them, Nice Ipswich plate too. trigger
Is it?, I wonder what the story is behind it then, I've never seen it there before, only took the photo a hour ago so might pop back with the better camera and get a better snap if it's still there. pogweasel
Yeah, I think it's the real deal too, some dealer was selling off loads of unused/barely used racecars that had obviously come out of MG/Rover's firesale, reasonably priced for sorted track cars too... trigger
Just been back with the other camera and it's still there, Mind you the pictures are still not much better, He's parked behind a bus stop making it hard to get a clear shot.
Justin Case
[better picture of that Morris (i think) i have in the first picture at the top. 'Morris' is I think an Austin 10 Cambridge about 1936-9, ideal for a gentle amble down to the pub on a fine summer's evening

Station
Those MG/Rover touring cars actually look nice, so that example is a bit of a disappointment. That car under the tarp, might be a Nova Kitcar: Most of them ended up under green army tarps (according to the DVLA database).

trigger
Time for a update, Been collecting these for a few weeks now. Spotted this Nissan Stanza on the way back from Woburn Safari Park the other week in a empty service station. Also saw this bus in a lay-by, Think it's a cafe now. This Renault 21 Turbo (I think) was going down the A12 in Colchester, Was being driven by a old chap, WTF are all the add on's about? Stu from Retro-Rides Cresta parked up in Ipswich. High speed action shot of Hyundai Pony on A14, Not many of these about now. Saw this for sale in Monks Eleigh, Was up for £1000 and was on a C plate, Didn't have a close look as i thought it was up for lot but it looked clean enough. I past this brown E Reg Metro a couple of time on my trip, First time it was outside the post office then saw it again in this driveway. Past this C plate Crew Cab CF on the same journey, Sadly this was the best picture i could take, Can't be many of these left neither. This is for sale at a garage round the corner, Really it be better of in the bargain thread, £4995 for a not all that tidy Midget is way overpriced IMHO. I brought a load of 'Car' magazines of ebay today (I'll do a thread shortly) and had to collect them from the village of Finchingfield which is near Braintree in Essex.Really pretty little village where I'm sure Ford used to promote the Ford Consul in the 1950's.It's also very popular with bikers and classic car owners. I took these whist i was there. Is this a old Alvis?, I was to busy punching a wasp to death who was trying to get in my drink to get a better look. Maybe a bit too old but this turned up and once the old people went from it i took these. Never heard of this make before, Alldays & Onions?, Interesting name though! And this 1980 Ferrari 308 GTS past me on the roundabout on the way to Shotley earlier, I was in my 02 and the driver and his wife both looked at me and smiled and waved, Nice to see people like that unlike MG and Stag owners. pogweasel
Also saw this bus in a lay-by, Think it's a cafe now. No, not a cafe. It's home to a slightly demented old beardy bloke and his 8 dogs. He claims that he has to live on the bus as he can't find anywhere to rent a house because of the dogs, and he won't give them up. The council are trying to shift him, as he's been there for ages. seth
Aha, I thought Pog might beat to commenting on that bus. I know exactly where it is though I didn't know it was a regular news story. The one from the field by the nearby roundabout seems to have gone? There was a dead old 5 or 7 series there when I went by last week
trigger
I think there was also a similar black bus near by which we past on the way but never saw it on the way back, Interesting story on the old bloke though, Looked like a café to me, Glad i didn't stop by for a coffee now!.Cheers on the update on the Sunny i thought it was a Stanza! I've found two more spots on my phone I've forgot about. What is this? I keep thinking it's a Ginetta but I don't think it is. And is this a candidate for newest shite?
