Eddie Honda
Should be 400mm / 16" sir, both sides Although the driver's side one could do with being flexible enough at the end to actually touch the screen at the bottom of the sweep... I've always tried to fit longer wiper blades than standard wherever possible - usually manage at least an extra inch without hitting the surrounding seal. The Ro80 comfortably took 16-inch blades, the 635's driver side managed +1", and the diesel Borat also takes +1". Worth doing. I'm pretty sure the CX will accept at least that when the single blade needs replacing, so 25 or 26-inch. Will try an Aerotwin flat and see what happens. 320touring
This was the conveyance of choice for a wee Donner oot the day.. First stop was the Kelpies near the M9 - great weather and quite the structures! There was more beige shite in the carpark Funnily enough we had a "thumbs up" from a dubber, and a "love the car mate" from the carpark attendant:) I was also barred from buying the Autoshite boat.. Then it was a tootle along to look at some engineering marvels, and the bridges Eddie Honda, Shep Shepherd, Junkman and 6 others

forddeliveryboy
Would a GSA benefit from genuine gallic bougies d'allumage like 2CVs are supposed to? I bought a pair of frog sparklers from ECAS when running a Lomax and it seemed to make a difference. Not in my opinion, the best plugs I found for the air-cooled Cits were Denso's racing plugs, they last seemingly forever. But the standard ones are just fine, I've never known one go high resistance like the NGK ones I was fitting in the mid-2000s. NGK may well have sorted the problem, I gave up after a year and too many which were faulty out of the box (about 1 in 40) as well as those which began failing within 1000 miles (>1 in 20). forddeliveryboy
The flat four likes W22EP-U (or ES-U for slightly quieter running), flat twins use the W22FS-U. I tried 'em all, these Densos work best imo. Substitute the '22' (equiv to NGK 7) for 24 (NGK 8 ) or even 27 (NGK 9) for cooler running plugs if running flat out for extended periods in hot weather, or for tuned/turbocharged engines. chaseracer

forddeliveryboy
Should've mentioned the recommended plug heat rating for these engines was one hotter, it was set in the days of leaded fuel which ran cooler and never updated for sans-plombe, which runs hotter - so cooler plugs needed. 320touring
Whilst up fondling the Oxford, I took the opportunity to change the rear light cluster The old one was pretty damaged The new one slotted in lovely But now the RHS one looks ropey in comparison. It rewarded me by idling really low, almost as if it would stall. Even the mildest touch on the throttle sorts it out - one to investigate. After the day of prodding the Oxford full of holes, I papped the GSA up on high setting and had a peek underneath ( lying beside, not under the car) chaseracer, Shep Shepherd, privatewire and 13 others

SiC
It rewarded me by idling really low, almost as if it would stall. Even the mildest touch on the throttle sorts it out - one to investigate. Had a thought on this point. Is that a kinda normal thing on carb cars on a start? Starting dumps fuel in, some ignites, some doesn't until it properly gets going. This loads the spark plugs/etc up a bit and causes it to be running slightly too rich. So then it just needs a dab of throttle to clear it's throat and plugs. I might be wrong, but the MG has done that and the theory sounds alright in my head when I was justifying the low idle on start on occasion.
