Nice easy drop off, lovely people! Bye bye Mini, 4 years as a noble steed & a sad day for mrs JJ. Currently at Tesco’s in Bury St Edmunds grabbing a bite to eat.. hosting gif(Mrs JJ forced me to blur her face...) Next stop Sudbury to commence colleckshun of the semi-shite replacement! I’ve spent all evening searching Ebay/scumtree/AT for a decent one to go and view tomorrow but no joy. The hunt will continue! She’s considering another Mini too now but one with a supercharger... JJ0063 Posted February 12, 2018 Author Share Posted February 12, 2018 In a fucking annoyingly weird turn of events we ended up doing the same 3hr round trip this afternoon to view a car that turned out to be about half a mile from the Beetle we viewed on Saturday. This time it turned out to be worth the journey though. I understand it’s modern shite according to most but it was a bargain. 2006 cooper with the Chilli pack, new clutch, new gear linkages and new tyres. 110k, years MOT.. £1650 & taxed to get you home. Gave it a good scrub up at the weekend and fitted Ambers plate yesterday: Hardwiried the dashcam and have fitted the K&N we had on the old Mini, I've never known just a cheap cone filter to make such a difference to a car, really opens them up and gives some extra grunt. Wud recommend m8. Only issue we've discovered so far is the drivers window must need ever so slight adjustment on the angle (Ie. how it leans into the car and butts up against the weather seal) as it seems to have ever such a slight leak on it, on a wet morning there's a line on the inside of the window where droplets of rain have run down.
