scdan4
Having spent far longer than I wanted trying to fit an oven into our trusty ‘stopgap’ Camry in B and Q car park, I’ve given up and bought a second estate car, so the Camry is up for grabs. Having had it for 8 years, this is a little sad, but needs must and if you can’t fit a 600mm cube and a large dog into it, it’s useless to me. We have no parking and no means to keep it as a pet. It’s been used as everything. Family transport, dog transport, tow car and builders van... it shows. Every panel has at least a blemish. The rear bumper is passing ‘not pretty’ and is verging on fucked. Drivers seat is ripped and the dog has put holes in the back seat. Passenger wing mirror is attractively secured by gaffa tape. (There’s a nice young man who lives further down the road who hammers them off for everyone in the wee small hours occasionally. Takes the motivation out of fitting a better one). Front indicator lenses are stuck on with some structural silicon sealant. It’s (over)due a service, it’s done about 185k and I’ll probably plate rape it, putting it onto a R reg. That’s the bad, however... It’s got good, good brand tyres on it and 2 matching spares / alloys. It’s got 12 months motThe 3rd brake light and electric ariel are the only electrics that don’t work.It goes well. Weller than shiny Audi rep mobiles. Gr8 for the traffic light GP.It’s supremely comfortable and the stereo can make your ears bleed. It’s not that bad on fuel. It’s had a cambelt in living memory. It’s never ftp’dIt’s a Camry, what more do you need to know? I have no idea what it’s worth, and Ebay and the like are not helping with comparison prices, I was thinking 750 / 800 on fleabay so £600ish shitter price? It’s in Swindon, you’re welcome to come kick tyres if you want. I’ll even make you a cuppa. djim, Laseraligningfoofooflanges, Alan_Green and 1 other

BorniteIdentity
If you even vaguely give a shit, be careful who you sell this to. The engines are a popular plug in for MR2s. Imma think this over. My Avensis is very tired, baggy all over and needs money spent on it. This may be a better prospect. scdan4, alf892 and loserone

Spottedlaurel
I think you've undersold it, looks alright to me. I think most of the MR2 engine converters have moved onto newer stuff, as much as anyone I imagine exporters would have an interest in it. I haven't owned an example of this model but when I had a drive of one I found it to feel much livelier than the previous-gen V6. Super-subtle looks too, it would surprise a lot of people. GLWTS. scdan4
Nice interior. It’s a bit sea of grey plastic, but a nice enough place to be. If you even vaguely give a shit, be careful who you sell this to. The engines are a popular plug in for MR2s.Imma think this over. My Avensis is very tired, baggy all over and needs money spent on it. This may be a better prospect. If you’re near/ passing swindon you can have a borrow if you want. Although I’m fairly certain if you did that you’d not give it back and buy it. .... Its a Toyota FFS! TSSo will run forever. Air con works, remote fobs both work, 2 keys, lectrik mirrors seats windows sunroof, you’d easily get 3 bodies in the boot, ski hatch, towhook, Sony usb cd stereo, cruise control. Any likely takers or do I get on and list it on Ebay?
