Brother in law was a taxi owner in Hull and there was a 5-year age limit on them.
When I was a taxi driver back in nineteen-canteen, it was 9 for plating and 15 overall in one council area. The adjacent was no limit.
YMMV (as in the case of that IoW Audi)

I had to ring my bike insurer this morning as the renewal arrived & they didn't know about my points in Sept. The grin? the price went down by £50!

oldie but gold (you could almost do the same with trabants to keep the germany theme if you really wanted too),
it goes along with these 2 memes
when I showed the 2178 one to an eastern block friend, he wisely pointed out that out of all of those cars the Lada was the only that could hover/fly

Following some recent tests new cycle-grids (which are modeled on cattle grids with one important change) are being introduced on main roads to reduce congestion and entertain drivers.

On the recent 2CV trek around The North, there was a cattle grid with two longitudinal bars across the usual widthways ones. Chuffed to bits to line the 2CV up with them perfectly for the smoothest ever traverse of a cattle grid!

Detailing World, Hubnut edition.
Entertaining and horrifying in equal measure. End result surprisingly okay, all things considered.

Ad in the paper today (on the front page)
Wanted ....one Saxophonist to play to Kakapo Parrots because if music gets people in the mood for love, why not try it on Parrots. They need help desperately beacause there are only 147 left. All applicants welcome, Kenny G preferred.
It is a genuine ad placed by the Dept of Conservation. Sadly not full time.
Edited to add the ad.
