PhilA Posted November 1, 2018 Share Posted November 1, 2018 Back in from the garage. Tidied the workbench. Put brackets on loudspeakers, mounted them up on the wall out of the way. Pulled weedeater out, too a look at it after it just died halfway through doing the yard a few weeks ago. Drained the cloudy looking crap out of the tank, took the carb apart and cleaned it, too the plug out and gapped it. Bloody thing wouldn't start. It would cough a bit and that was it. Easy start wouldn't even get it to go. Then I noticed some black scheiße dripping out the back of it and saw the back of the crankcase (held in with 2 screws) was loose. Tightened it up, thing buzzed into life. Most happy with that. I'll now be able to trim the edge of the grass onto the street in a straight line and get rid of all the damn oxalis triangularis that's growing everywhere right now. The opinion is that the alternator has seized and the engine needs removing to change it. We will find out tomorrow. The front was removed to change the broken drive belt. But tucked away in the yard was this: Gorgeous beige velour interior too The young guys running the garage loved it too. It looked pretty solid and original.
