You could try but at £8.50 a ticket I am not sure it would fly out of the door.

You're going to struggle to sell this anywhere at any price. Take it from one who knows. The minute I drove away from the purchase and I strong armed the gear lever into second, I said to myself  "I've bought a tractor!" When I got back I put it onto all the websites immediately, idea being it should sell within 6 months  and I would bide my time. Not one call!

They're as undesirable as it gets. People used to comment that they didn't even know you could have a saloon Polo. And why not buy a Bora for £300?  Yours looks particularly nice, but you can't polish a turd. A Polo saloon is by it's very perversity autoshite. Keep it, it's a goodun!

I'm running around in the estate version at the moment whilst my saab is off the road. 1.9sdi gets 60mpg on a long run even if it does sound like a tractor. 500 sounds a decent price if its been looked after.

I use a 14-yr-old Bora TDi which was remapped for economy. That one can get past 60mpg as well. Value equally low nowadays.

WOULD if it was a van. Van insurance is around half the price of car insurance for unknown reasons.

It's in a bit of a limbo with its registration year - post-2001 it'd be a lot cheaper to tax.

Is the opening valuation eggs-orbitant?

Were you able to drive it across a ploughed field for a 2cv comparison test?

Strange saloon versions of popular hatchbacks are prime shite. This one looks good...

Good nick but deffo over egged it on the selling price.

It's old enough to have been maintained by a mechanic named Dewhurst who would have undoubtedly cocked up a few things.

This is why nobody's trying to take a flyer on it and I think the seller has been counting chickens before the eggs have hatched.

Looks clean though and might get someone out of a spot of bother

A good way of avoiding the horrors of Gumtree:

Why not offer it for swaps? You never know what interesting stuff someone on here might be looking to move on.

If I had half a dozen low value shite mobiles and needed a more reliable, practical  daily, it's a deal I'd look to do.

You might end up with a Renault 25, a Citroen BX, Talbot Alpine etc.

This could be interesting folks, I'm not saying he would swap for anything, but it's still ok for me to ask what you would swap for this Polo I presume? Show us your cards!
