cobblers
My mams got a 170hp A3 with this engine and the DSG box, it goes like a bastard. I'm a bit interested, is it clean enough? do the doors and windows and stuff work?
Dick Longbridge
Good to see it’s a 2litre TDI, so the engine should be one of the better ones.I briefly owned a 1.9tdi Leon on this year with the infamous BXE ‘conrod through the block’ engine. The most unrefined derv piece of faeces I’ve ever driven. Shame, as the car looked alright. Carlosfandango
ruffgeezer
I'm about half hour from Lincoln during the day, or 20 mins from Boston at the weekend. I'll give it a full check over when time allows.

ruffgeezer
A cursory look over the car reveals that although there is plenty of tread, the front tyres are the wrong size for the car, also the RHR door mechanism sticks when unlocking, but can be opened. It has both keys, a space saver spare and a locking wheel nut key present. I'll pop under it tomorrow and make sure there is nothing nasty lurking. Jams
The Mrs has one of these in 2.0 tdi flavour Really nice to drive plenty of power! Ours has a lumpy idle and likes throwing limp mode tho
Wingz123
Jams - clean the EGR valve out and the throttle body these coke up for a pastime...well any turbo diesel does really... got to do my Audi A6 this evening as my idle is lump and on occasion it cuts out...i guarantee my egr valve is completely caked up... Stick some mr muscle in the turbo too then take for a good drive If local come over and I’ll give you a hand (I be Reading)
ruffgeezer
There is some wear on the driver's seat bolster. Engine bay looks tidy for its miles..
