Gave the little C1 a full service. A mere 3.2L or golden nectar required.

The brake discs were pitted or something, most annoying. Got new discs and pads from ECP this morning and swapped over. All good.

Total cost for all service materials and brakes, £66. Can't grumble really...

The wheel trims were a bit fucked, so jettisoned those. I think the bare steel wheels suit the utilitarian baseness of the car.

It's size and modernness make going between this and the 405 quite a good change either way.

Today I haz been mostly stripping the paint of a used MK2 Capri wing.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago.

Bloody expensive for what it is,but that's Ford tax for you.

Still it's rot free,Just surface spots here and there.

Some filler in there too,as it's been twatted in the past.

Looks like it was a replacement at some point as it appears it was bolted on.

Hopefully it will fit ok.

I went to Capel show in the x1/9 today, the clutch is now fine, but the rear off side caliper is sticking on. Wheel is black and very hot! I’ve had the wheel off just now and nothings leaking, but the disc is very hard to turn by hand. I’ve ordered a new pair of hoses from Eurosport.

Some nice cars and owners, some not so much. The owner and I measured the mercury park avenue, it’s a full 6ft longer than the fiat!

There you go.

1978 German built Mk2 2.0 ghia auto,in gold with brown vinyl roof.

Plans are to weld up the crispy bits, repaint in original colour, refresh the engine, new vinyl top, convert to 5speed manual, refurbish and refit original wheels.

Then use and abuse it.

I want it nice,not mint.

The 944 I bought last year as a bit of a project now has forced me to get my arse into gear as its test runs out 25/8, not 25/9 as i thought. Shit. As soon as you get rolling the ABS light pings on, Internet wisdom says this is wheel sensor/ cables etc. After finding nowt the matter there I looked a little further and found this behind the arch liner.

That is the remains of the ABS pump. I may have found the problem. Why the fuck did Porsche think the wheel arch was good place for an aluminium pump and electrics?

The shiny bolt at the bottom was me clutching at straws and fitting a new earth. Of course it didn't fucking work!

Went to my Grandad's 90th, as mentioned earlier.

Mechanic brother-in-law turned up with my Cousin (his wife) and 5-year-old son in this:

Having driven from Devon to Shropshire.  This was also his wedding car, nearly 10 years ago when it was driven by my other cousin in a full chauffeur's outfit and has owned it for a long time.  It's a favourite of mine, too.

Never have seen another one like it.

Although I'm sure they exist.

I kinda consider a mk2 more of a GT type car,as they are a great cruiser.

Quite a handsome design too.

I have got a soft spot for the mk2 they are a handsome car, I don't know why they are the unloved capri though compared to mk1 or mk3

I went to a car show at a Jaguar restoration company today. Here are my pics.

Firstly, the official shot of our 'stand,' in which I just about managed to sneak both the Dacia and a pair of Fiat Cinquecentos.

Proper Land Rover. Six-cylinder fuel muncher.

Some lovely old things. And an MGB.

Oddly at Capel today there were actually very few MGBs. A couple of nice BGTs and that was it.
