When mine came over it went into a container with a 74 Ford Country Squire. Only reason I knew was because I saw it behind mine as they were loading the container and they photographed the cars for condition checking.

Great to see it's made its start coming over. That ship does indeed look pretty shite!

A friend from South Africa was working in this country for 4 years and bought a 1970 Midget to zap around in. After getting a bit attached to it he decided to take it home .Before he left he had  the body restored and resprayed at  large cost but it did look stunning . A year later he came back to visit and i asked did the car get back ok .    No , it was smashed to pieces :-(  :-(    Seemed it wasn't tied down in the container, the ship hit a storm and rocked a bit around the Horn

Now I am Pissed Off!

Container was supposed to be getting loaded today..............................

27073030_1969778586682506_20220808857538

Now I find its been delayed by a week :(

27332107_1969777796682585_52058454114097

So it looks like that ship sitting in Long Beach is a Red Herring it was never that ship picking it up :(

I have now found out how to check whats going in and out of a given port and its just not going there :(

Im less annoyed about the delay and more annoyed about extra charges?

I understand ports allow 7 days so as of today I guess I am paying rent I cant actually afford :(

I went with the shipper as I was told he was the best but I want transparency!

I just put an order in for some parts that may or may not be needed for the MOT I know where they are by the minute a $100 order but have no real idea whats going on with a $3000 vehicle?

Im Livid!

Look what arrived today :)

As the Licence plate had changed the DMV issued another Title ;)

Ok so it says duplicate but hey its still cool to have :)

The original scruffy dog eared one is the one that with the car and the one thats been cleared etc so when it gets here thats the one that the DVLA will get and I get to keep this one :)

How cool is that?

You never get to keep the American Paperwork :(

But

I Do ;)

Hmm the fun continues!

Just received an order from Rock Auto in the US,I had my garage look over all the close up pics and tell me what it might need for the MOT?

One thing they said was you can never tell with Ball Joints so I ordered Upper and Lower made by AC Delco as ive always been impressed with their quality.

So they arrived, the lowers match the bloody uppers dont :(

Now I know even though they dont they will work but its principle!

I ordered a matching pair and its not what I got,If I didnt know better I would say that One is an AC Delco the other is a cheap and nasty jobby put in an AC Delco Box :(

What do you think?

Certainly look very different to me! Maybe the design has been changed? Perhaps you got an old and new type?
Either way, I wouldn't worry too much. It'll still do the job. Plus returns will be expensive!

Good to see you got a title too! How long now? About a month isn't it.

Uh Oh another Cock Up it seems the seller put the wrong amount on the Bill of Sale!

I payed $3000 he has only gone and made a mistake on the Bill of Sale and put $3500 :(

My shipper got in touch about the final details for NOVA and imforms me the supplied BOS says $500 more than what I payed for it!

Now waiting to see what can be done before its submitted as the seller sent me a copy but mine says $3000 the $500 discrepancy means I may have to pay more duty on an amount I never paid for it :(

Grrrrrr

The seller said he is only human and we all make mistakes, which is all well and good but its going to cost me money :(

I have to weigh up the costs of getting it corrected or just putting up and shutting up and pay more?

Im under no illusion that trying to say myself the extra tarrif could in the long run cost me more if its held up :(

Just want this sorted
