gadgetgricey
Purchased this a month or so ago as a cheap runaround (and I have a compulsion to buy cheap cars that I don't need ) , but not really using it and also have to many cars currently on the road. I'd happily get in it and drive anywhere as has always started, was family owned father son for the majority of its life and I think I'm down as the third owner.History of cambelt and HG being done, but it has a couple of problems. I think a couple of the valve stem seals have gone, as it smokes like a bastard on a morning. However this clears after about a mile and the car is fine for the rest of the day. You just don't want to be behind it that first mile.Passenger front door handle is no use at all, as is on the car, but not really attached to the car.Drivers door handle is loose, but still works..(I believe this is a common issue with the R45's, in icy conditions. Door sticks to door seal, driver pulls handle to open door, and handle comes away) Couple of other minor things that I've noticed. String for rear parcel shelf is not there. Blower only works on 3&4, Headlining as droopy as a droopy thing, along with the fabric on the front door cards. Other than all of the above, its a nice place to be. Power steeringRover Radio CassetteTwo sets of keys with remote blipper (both working)Decent clean interiorMOT till April of next year from memory, but check the DVLA website to confirm. Only pics at the moment, are as thread below from when I collected it. http://autoshite.com/topic/29640-sunday-morning-collection-fred/ Basically needs to go by the end of the month as that when tax/insurance runs out. Was going to scrap it, but think it could do someone a good turn as transport. Sandwell & Dudley is easiest train station to get to, but feel free to ask any questions.
