Back out on the streets again; the owner of this very tidy Escort is a window cleaner by trade and clearly looks after his ride.

jan802.jpg

A re-spot but in a slightly better photo.

jan803.jpg

Haven't seen a SportKa for a while.

jan804.jpg

Ever seen a booted Accent of this generation? Me either until now.

jan801.jpg

Quite the early A3.

jan805.jpg

With spotting radar disengaged, I drove past this and thought "oh, a Fiat Strada"; 800 yards later, I thought "Bloody hell, a Fiat Strada!" and instigated a U-turn.

Last one for January; a late example of the earliest Wrangler.

jan901.jpg

February commences with OMGSNOKAOS

feb001.jpg

Nice steelies on this Envoy.

feb003.jpg

Nice alloys on this V90 (also, 3-litre).

feb002.jpg

I've seen this 156 a few times over the last couple of years and assumed it was a bit Barry; turns out it's a GTA (still not sure about that paintjob tho).

feb004.jpg

A local Sierra enthusiast has recently recommissioned this P100.

Another local Sierra enthusiast has recently purchased this XR4x4.

There's a bit of a February backlog to upload, I must try and keep on top of the updating regularly routine.

It all went a bit "Vive la France" to start with; any excuse for a carnival.

jan201.jpg

Tidy looking ZX

jan202.jpg

Looking good for a workhorse.

jan203.jpg

Still hard to spot La séries une Gooners around my way and yet within the space of 24 heures, there was deux.

jan205.jpg

jan206.jpg

And then it all went a bit Italian.

Not for long tho; Vive la Sverige. This one is a Carlsson.

jan207.jpg

This has been standing for a while, hopefully the owner will one day find time to hose off the comedy* dirt drawing.

jan210.jpg

Always a pleasure to see a Rover 400.

jan209.jpg

I don't recall seeing a Sonata of this vintage until now.

jan208.jpg

I could waft the fuck out of this.

jan212.jpg

jan213.jpg

Yes, that is indeed a Cavalier behind it.

A selection from a very busy Walton Bridge Breakfast Club meet; not just any old Focus, it's a Millennium.

jan301.jpg

Mirafiori in a very fetching shade of beige.

jan302.jpg

There's approx. seventeen Super Minx floppytops left in the UK and this is the second white example I've seen in the same town in the last 12 months.

jan306.jpg

Avengers are rare anyplace and anytime. This one was rescued from the scrapman, welded to the max and fitted with a 2-litre Pinto.

jan307.jpg

"Turnpike Cruiser" is the greatest model name of all time. Yes it is, shut up. Mercury is pretty cool too but y'know, any factory name is cool when it precedes "Turnpike Cruiser".

jan305.jpg

That name will never be bettered. If a car named "M25 Variable Speed Limit" were to be launched, the press would laugh at it and no-one would buy it (except for a few 'shiters perhaps).

A very Autoshite Daimler; brown Sovereign with 2.8 manual powers.

Rounding off the Feb with a couple of Fiat models that are disappearing fast.

jan401.jpg

jan402.jpg

Early E34 with about 64K on the clock and one owner since 1996.

jan403.jpg

2.0 GL is an uncommon survivor spec and it's for sale.

For twelve bags. Hmmm.

I know there's a Blue Oval Tax but a bit excessive here IMO.

I am not a businessman.

It's March roundup time. A fairly successful month all in all 'cos of some work opportunities outside of my home areas.

In my home areas, there was a wizard prang. Looks like the Audi ploughed into the fencepost with some gusto and bounced back into the parked Fiat and Honda. Or the twat reversed into them with even more gusto.

Actually that's probably quite unfair. My Mum had an Amica for a little while in the early '00s and it is still the most uncomfortable car I have ever sat behind the wheel of and I'm assuming that it's predecessor would be the same if not even worse. I should buy one to confirm or deny that assumption, yeah? Yeah.

Hateful (3)? see above but without the actual experience of.

I dunno, is this like a Hot Wheels Range Rover or summat?

Take up! Move up! High up! Groove up! All these and possibly more are stupidly named trim levels in the Volkswagen Up range.

Thank fuck this one is designated up! Black. They also come in up! beats and e-up! flavours FFS.

So the VolksWorld show was held at Sandown Park recently; rest easy folks, I won't bore everyone to tears with a never ending parade of Beetles and Transporters. In fact, I didn't attend the show at all; there's a free car park 15 minutes walk away from the venue and the venue car park is full of interestings which means in effect, a free car show. Huzzah.

There will be some VW content tho, such as this Polo that was recently imported from Sweden. Some road tax bollocks meant that any car under 800cc fell into a cheaper bracket, hence the Sveriges were unique in having a 771cc version available for purchase.

^ All of those were taken on the Friday before the show. Here's a few weekend highlights.

A pretty cool AS recovery truck, once the decals and stuffed toys have been removed.

mar408.jpg

Old Toyota vans float my boat.

mar407.jpg

Oh go on then, here's a Beetle. A late Mexican one. Deeply questionable plate font and I can't help but imagine Frank Spencer hunched over the steering wheel, beret akimbo.

mar409.jpg

Couldn't have been parked worse photography-wise but an '80s Mitsubishi camper has to be recorded.

mar410.jpg

This was interesting; a Toyota Hilux badge-engineered to become a Volkswagen Taro.

April commences with post- and pre-BL Rover joy: an early 414i that appears to be existing in a limbo between "For Sale" and "Dumped". It's local to me and I'm keeping an eye on it.

apr002.jpg

Quite amazing really; built in 1953 and sixty-six years later, it's parked on a suburban sideroad.

apr003.jpg

apr004.jpg

Cue a jarring change of gear; there's a bit of Korean kontent incoming, starting with this (what's it called again? Oh yeah) Rodius.

apr001.jpg

Looking like some Godforsaken creature that was trawled from the depths of the Pacific ocean, this is prettier* than its pre-facelift ancestor.

apr101.jpg

Don't recall seeing many Lacetti estates but I'm a bit noob when it comes to not-American Chevrolet.

apr102.jpg

Shuma in general is scarce but the prettier* facelift Shuma II is moreso. Gotta confess that I have never noticed one before. The pre-facelift was noticeably deep-sea trawlage-worthy and I noticed them every time.

Finbarr Saunders' favourite Isuzu (it's a Bighorn).

apr105.jpg

Back when I was young and relevant*, a Ford 3.0 V6 would have been installed in a Capri or a Granada. Nowadays, that engine configuration/displacement belongs in a Mondeo ST220. Ugh, FWD.

apr106.jpg

apr106a.jpg

Another Bedford TK working for a living. It must be a member of some glorious cult.

apr107.jpg

Dangly-mirror Sierra that has appeared on AS before but I'm not going to see this and not take a photo am I?

apr201.jpg

These have popped up on my radar recently.

apr204.jpg

Always take a photo of a 205, now they're getting to be a bit endangered species.

apr202.jpg

Astra F with a boot in mainland UK has never been abundant.
