danthecapriman
Love the Capri! I would wouldn’t I! OvloV 343 is nice too. davocano
davocano
Back out on the streets again; the owner of this very tidy Escort is a window cleaner by trade and clearly looks after his ride. A re-spot but in a slightly better photo. Haven't seen a SportKa for a while. Ever seen a booted Accent of this generation? Me either until now. Quite the early A3. With spotting radar disengaged, I drove past this and thought "oh, a Fiat Strada"; 800 yards later, I thought "Bloody hell, a Fiat Strada!" and instigated a U-turn. danthecapriman, RobT, Squire_Dawson and 1 other

davocano
Last one for January; a late example of the earliest Wrangler. February commences with OMGSNOKAOS Nice steelies on this Envoy. Nice alloys on this V90 (also, 3-litre). I've seen this 156 a few times over the last couple of years and assumed it was a bit Barry; turns out it's a GTA (still not sure about that paintjob/wrap tho). A local Sierra enthusiast has recently recommissioned this P100. Another local Sierra enthusiast has recently purchased this XR4x4. danthecapriman and blakey79
davocano
There's a bit of a February backlog to upload, I must try and keep on top of the updating regularly routine. It all went a bit "Vive la France" to start with; any excuse for a carnival. Tidy looking ZX Looking good for a workhorse. Still hard to spot La séries une Gooners around my way and yet within the space of 24 heures, there was deux. And then it all went a bit Italian. davocano
Not for long tho; Vive la Sverige. This one is a Carlsson. This has been standing for a while, hopefully the owner will one day find time to hose off the comedy* dirt drawing. Always a pleasure to see a Rover 400. I don't recall seeing a Sonata of this vintage until now. I could waft the fuck out of this. Yes, that is indeed a Cavalier behind it. davocano
A selection from a very busy Walton Bridge Breakfast Club meet; not just any old Focus, it's a Millennium. Mirafiori in a very fetching shade of beige. There's approx. seventeen Super Minx floppytops left in the UK and this is the second white example I've seen in the same town in the last 12 months. Avengers are rare anyplace and anytime. This one was rescued from the scrapman, welded to the max and fitted with a 2-litre Pinto. "Turnpike Cruiser" is the greatest model name of all time. Yes it is, shut up. Mercury is pretty cool too but y'know, any factory name is cool when it precedes "Turnpike Cruiser". That name will never be bettered. If a car named "M25 Variable Speed Limit" were to be launched, the press would laugh at it and no-one would buy it (except for a few 'shiters perhaps). A very Autoshite Daimler; brown Sovereign with 2.8 manual powers. LightBulbFun, RobT, vulgalour and 4 others
davocano
Rounding off the Feb with a couple of Fiat models that are disappearing fast. Early E34 with about 64K on the clock and one owner since 1996. 2.0 GL is an uncommon survivor spec and it's for sale. For twelve bags. Hmmm. I know there's a Blue Oval Tax but a bit excessive here IMO. I am not a businessman. davocano
It's March roundup time. A fairly successful month all in all 'cos of some work opportunities outside of my home areas. In my home areas, there was a wizard prang. Looks like the Audi ploughed into the fencepost with some gusto and bounced back into the parked Fiat and Honda. Or the twat reversed into them with even more gusto. An older Clio is always nice but a Williams is probably not as nice as an RN. Still nice tho. Swoopy futuristic 323F. Still loads of Seicentos around? I wonder for how much longer. mercrocker, Amishtat, LightBulbFun and 1 other
davocano
W124 with appropriate cylinder count. Early Yaris doing fairly well. Smollest engine in a Touring. Not just any old Mustang; a 40th Anniversary Edition. Not just any old Escort Cabriolet Puma; a Racing Puma. Not just any old Focus; an ST170. danthecapriman, mercrocker and RobT
davocano
Useful Nostalgic Hateful (1) Hateful (2) Actually that's probably quite unfair. My Mum had an Amica for a little while in the early '00s and it is still the most uncomfortable car I have ever sat behind the wheel of and I'm assuming that it's predecessor would be the same if not even worse. I should buy one to confirm or deny that assumption, yeah? Yeah. Hateful (3)? see above but without the actual experience of. I dunno, is this like a Hot Wheels Range Rover or summat? mercrocker, Rave and RobT
davocano
An old thing (BSA C15). Another old things. It's nice to see ancient roadside furniture living on into 2019. Workhorse Escort. Space Cruiser suspended in gaffa. Living in a Materia World, as some old bag nearly sang years ago. mercrocker, strangeangel, vulgalour and 3 others
davocano
A diminishing number of Tata Rovers are out there. Not an everyday street spot: Austin-Healey Sprite. davocano
Take up! Move up! High up! Groove up! All these and possibly more are stupidly named trim levels in the Volkswagen Up range. Thank fuck this one is designated up! Black. They also come in up! beats and e-up! flavours FFS. "If there's anyone here in Marketing or Advertising, could you do me a favour and kill yourselves?" said a great philosopher, years ago. That philosopher was the late Bill Hicks, just to save y'all a field Google trip. The average* Londoner's favourite old Merc. Loads of 'em here. Quite fancy one of these, thanks mainly to a couple of threads on AS. Getting a bit thin on the ground, these. Still a fair few of these around but y'know one day, they nearly all gone. A very late E38. Oooh, an interesting modern. I only vaguely remember a mention of the Subaru Tribeca somewhere. jumpingjehovahs, danthecapriman, RobT and 2 others
davocano
It's been off the road since 2007 but when did you last see an Alfa 33 Sport Wagon? Mmmm. danthecapriman, Amishtat, jumpingjehovahs and 6 others

davocano
So the VolksWorld show was held at Sandown Park recently; rest easy folks, I won't bore everyone to tears with a never ending parade of Beetles and Transporters. In fact, I didn't attend the show at all; there's a free car park 15 minutes walk away from the venue and the venue car park is full of interestings which means in effect, a free car show. Huzzah. There will be some VW content tho, such as this Polo that was recently imported from Sweden. Some road tax bollocks meant that any car under 800cc fell into a cheaper bracket, hence the Sveriges were unique in having a 771cc version available for purchase. Barons auction house had a sale at the end of Feb; this Sov is hanging around like a bad unsold lovely smell. A tidy old E34 316i all the way from Italia. danthecapriman, RobT, Lacquer Peel and 2 others
davocano
^ All of those were taken on the Friday before the show. Here's a few weekend highlights. A pretty cool AS recovery truck, once the decals and stuffed toys have been removed. Old Toyota vans float my boat. Oh go on then, here's a Beetle. A late Mexican one. Deeply questionable plate font and I can't help but imagine a recently widowed Frank Spencer hunched over the steering wheel with beret akimbo. Couldn't have been parked worse photography-wise but an '80s Mitsubishi camper has to be recorded. This was interesting; a Toyota Hilux badge-engineered to become a Volkswagen Taro. mercrocker, danthecapriman and Lacquer Peel
davocano
So the VolksWorld weekend is done and yet here's another VW but It's my birthday today and guess how old I am? Correctamundo. Lonely old Escort. Lovely old graphics. Lovely new gaffa tape. Oooh Betty, a V12 E38. A bit of extraneous badging but a V12 nonetheless... nice. Oh, it's actually a 2.8 you deceptor you. This is a 3.0, honest. Badgeless 500SEL This 2.0 auto might be for sale. danthecapriman and RobT
davocano
April commences with post- and pre-BL Rover joy: an early 414i that appears to be existing in a limbo between "For Sale" and "Dumped". It's local to me and I'm keeping an eye on it. Quite amazing really; built in 1953 and sixty-six years later, it's parked on a suburban sideroad. Cue a jarring change of gear; there's a bit of Korean kontent incoming, starting with this (what's it called again? Oh yeah) Rodius. Looking like some Godforsaken creature that was trawled from the depths of the Pacific ocean, this is prettier* than its pre-facelift ancestor. Don't recall seeing many Lacetti estates but I'm a bit noob when it comes to not-American Chevrolet. Shuma in general is scarce but the prettier* facelift Shuma II is moreso. Gotta confess that I have never noticed one before. The pre-facelift was noticeably deep-sea trawlage-worthy and I noticed them every time. danthecapriman
davocano
1.8 L with invisible repairs. Finbarr Saunders' favourite Isuzu (it's a Bighorn). Back when I was young and relevant*, a Ford 3.0 V6 would have been installed in a Capri or a Granada. Nowadays, that engine configuration/displacement belongs in a Mondeo ST220. Ugh, FWD. Another Bedford TK working for a living. It must be a member of some glorious cult. Dangly-mirror Sierra that has appeared on AS before but I'm not going to see this and not take a photo am I? These have popped up on my radar recently. Always take a photo of a 205, now they're getting to be a bit endangered species. Astra F with a boot in mainland UK has never been abundant. danthecapriman, Lacquer Peel and jumpingjehovahs
davocano
Not a Suzuki X-90 so it's OK to like? I dunno, these "Lifestyle" things leave me a little bit cold. It is an early one tho. I do like a K11 tho. Also, early. Quite an early Almera. "I didn't do it". Love seeing these super-faded ex-Royal Mail Maxuseses. Looks dull, has 3.0 V6. Drives dull? Stanced? Looks quite sensible. Old Nova and younger, bigger, more capacious Astra. danthecapriman and Lacquer Peel
davocano
Plastered. Oooh, a 323F of the extra cylinders persuasion. Very tidy Ghia. Bargain bASement executive; 2.8 with *gasp* wheel covers. Previously not-seen in the "No photo spotted thread"; I finally caught it. DELIGHTED Previously seen in the thread u r in; now with frontal view. Crikey, these are getting a bit rare now. One owner Astra. Deffo makes it into the Top 10 of this year's spots. danthecapriman and Lacquer Peel
davocano
I'm sure I've read some threads implying that Scotland can state with confidence that "ALL YOUR VOLVO ARE BELONG TO US" but this one has been imprisoned within the confines of the M25. The way things are going in this fucked-up nation, I may break into it and claim political asylum. Dunno what that plate is meant to say. Fade to white Not an everyday sight when on spotting Patrol Not-scene Golf; an older person's shed. I always knew the hippies were hip. Not just any old Gooner; a V6 Monaco. It looks anonymous and it sounded lovely. Lacquer Peel
