Volksy
Now i'm really confused, The Ovlov has continued to smoke after we replaced the turbo, It only really does it when I go round a right turn, not all the time. and soon after it clears again. Its defo oil smoke, and when it does it, their is LOTS of it.So I've replaced the turbo, and had the intercooler and various pipes all cleaned out, we thought that maybe the old turbo had filled the intercooler with oil and it was slashing around and dripping through the inductions system. Alas not, the intercooler was all clear. So its off back to the garage next week.
peter9000uk
Did you change the PCV valve? They are prone to blocking on Volvos
Volksy
I did ask the garage (a Volvo specialist) about this, they said that it would smoke continuously if this was faulty/blocked. Mine only does it when turning right, so I'm not so sure. I will ask them again when it goes in next week.
Station
There's oil going up the breather pipe! Has the sump got a baffle plate?

Has the sump got a baffle plate?Thats a possibility, I presume they have a baffle plate in the sump. I'm not sure if the sump has ever been off the car. Station
Maybe you have a blockage somewhere and the pressure along one of the breather pipes is sucking/blowing a bit too hard. I've had a car in the past that was blowing the dipstick out all the time!Take it round a corner with the oil cap/dipstick out (there's be a bit of oil spat everywhere btw). I don't know too much about how Volvos do this though.Doesn't sound like anything is broken either way.
