This one needs some remedial repair (for the full Old Ford Experience, yeah?) - wingmirror isn't too bad but wiper has dropped off (though still there, so I will give it a dab of Gorilla Gel to reattach); not sure whether a hubcap's gone walkies, as I've literally just noticed that while cropping the pics. Maybe t'was always thus?

I should mention, all these Vanguards come with their limited edition certificates where applicable.

£10 posted for this one - or would swap/part-ex for a 109E in Monaco Red or else Turquoise (as mentioned, I have A LOT of white Vanguards for some weird reason, and it looks disproportionate in a display).

***ROFFLED!*** VA00517 - Triumph Herald in Coffee (50th Anniversary model)

post-17915-0-29166100-1527258115_thumb.jpg

I'd got wise to the whole wingmirror thing by the time I bought this one, so they're safely in the packaging while the car languishes with gaping holes in the wings (not the first Herald to do so, etc etc)

Probably just as well, since this Anniversary Special appears to be the most sought-after version of the Herald in the Vanguards range. If you're desperate for a red one instead though, hit me up. I have a lot of duplicate Vanguards in different colourways.

Shiters price: £25 posted.

Nice wee model; first one I had with yellow 'safety' number plates rather than old-style black ones.

Just don't really feel drawn to police models in general these days.

£10 posted!

***SOLD!!!*** Next up, here's a Ford Capri 3000GT by Detail (#301) in eyepopping yellow.

Box is there too; dunno why I didn't snap it.

Not a badly proportioned Mk1 Capri model, all told.

You'll note that the number plate is incorrect; I believe that some Corgi Classics cars used to come with a little sticker sheet of three or four different pairs of numberplates as well as a GB sticker and a tiny BMC rosette for the windscreen, or some such. It seems my teenage pedantry forbade me from displaying a model with no numberplates, but I could apparently stomach a year-incorrect plate.

I'm not sure I could now.

Anyway. £15 posted, and I'll peel the number plate off if it offends anyone's sensibilities.

Now, amazingly this one hasn't been messed about with. In fact, it's never been out of the box or displayed or anything, let alone dropped and superglued and had stickers slapped all over  it. Nope. This one's good.

It's rare, it's collectible, it's £25 posted to a shiter. I'd be asking a bit more at a car boot sale.

I know what these is wurf m8, gonna weigh it in if I don't get enuf munny

Again, this one hasn't ever really been displayed, and is in great shape. Apart from more number plate fuckery, obviously (but! At least they're correct for the year, right?). But easily removed.

I wish to the assorted deities that I'd bought more Minichamps when I worked in the model shop, as they really didn't shift and we were always selling them off at half price. They seem to be holding their value well enough, now.

£25 shiters price, posted.

Remember, discounts of astonishing* generosity will be applied to those purchasing two or more models!

*actual experience of astonishment may vary. I'm thrilled to find a 5p coin on the floor of the train, so make of that what you will.

Last one for this afternoon! You can all knock off now.

Right, sad to say this one has been fucked around with; as well as a nice warm fuzzy coat of dust, the door mirror has gone awol, and the tyres seem to have gone a bit gummy.

Plus I've stuck the plates from a Corgi Morris Minor on it, because Y NOT??

Apologies to all.

A penitential £8 posted takes this sad travesty away from my guilty sight.

Right, that's all for this afternoon, folks and folkesses - I'll need to take me some more photies, for one thing. But I'll be posting them all up here, so do call back.

Please bear in mind there are ** a lot ** of models still to come - and this is quite possibly one reason why Mrs DC gets through so much gin. I promised her several years ago that I'd reduce my models to ones that I actually like and actually want to display, rather than hundreds of battered charity shop finds and dusty stuff that I bought on holiday when I was 12. So now I have to deliver on that promise.

post-17915-0-66241600-1527261411_thumb.jpg

If there's anything you see posted up already that you fancy, do sing out and I'll make a note on the relevant post, and then set it to one side for you. No problem if you later change your mind, or want to add/remove anything.

All prices are negotiable; I'm not looking to cut my own throat here and give everything away for buttons - after all, these boxes of diecast represent my (final) opportunity to pull my personal finances back into the black, build a bit of a war chest and then be in a position to participate fully in roffles and events like Shitefest - but equally I'm needing to move these on.

So don't be shy - try me.

If you have any 1950s Lesney Matchbox, let me know please...

Love the Saumur story by the way. I stayed a couple of days there overlooking the river with my folks/family in 1997.  I remember the Pastis...

I might have a couple of Lesneys of that sort of vintage (maybe, like three or four - Karrier Bantam bottle truck (hollow); ERF 8-wheeler Ever-Ready flatbed truck; Seddon Atkinson (?) tractor unit... maybe a coupla others) - will have a look over the weekend and let you know what I find!

EDIT - it's a Thorneycroft tractor unit, in red.

Can you show me interested in the yellow Capri please?

And if you have models of anything I've owned in real life, or Saab 99/900s, or 70s to 90s French chod, I'll be interested too.

Sure thing! Happy to hold them over for you. Think the Blomqvist rally version is the only Saab I have left - a Bburago 900 Turbo went a while ago - but there's more French chod to come, for sure! No CXs or GSs, sadly though...

Can I bags the Austin Cambridge please - need some chod to gawp at whilst at work and this fits the bill just fine (unless you happen to have a Wolseley 15/60 knocking about ?)

Hang fire on postage/invoicing me, as I wait with baited breath for the next installments.

Sure thing - luckily we just had some new doors and handles fitted, so I've loads of sturdy boxes just right for posting out a coupla models in this scale.

You now have a box of your very own allocated.

I may be interested in any Italian stuff (from the 70s/80s) and any Majorettes, as per. Or just any cool 1/64 stuff really.

By cool I mean wonderfully obscure.

Cool 1/64...and Italian stuff... and Majorette... hmm.

Stay tuned. I may be able to supply a few things in that line, when it comes to hoking out more over the weekend!

I used to have a wish for a display of models of all the cars I'd owned... I was doing OK but stumbled at the B2 Passat and lost interest a bit after that.

This is *really* making me want to do it again, but properly this time around.  Plus a shelf of stuff I wish I'd had.

Can any collectors point me in the direction of suppliers of models of really ordinary cars?

Not too fussed about scale but it would be nice if they were all the same scale and not too massive.

Long shot, and it never occurred to me until now because I saw a 19 mentioned...

Renault 25? Preferably Mk I.

It's the car that got away for me...only got to drive it once...so would be nice to have something relating to it. No rush...I know I seem to be getting a reputation for making you make too many post office trips...
