AS secret santa: THE BIG REVEAL!!

There was some excitement at the post office, where they were quite sure that my parcel had already been collected. I gently insisted that it seemed unlikely. Eventually they looked in the back and called out "Slarti Bartfast? The House of Iffy Cars?" Yes that's the one. Turns out they mixed up the cards between my parcel and another that was the same house number but a completely different street.

I took possession of a quite prodigious sized box. Which sloshed.

Thank you very much Secret Santa, this will all come in very useful!94de00bb47d3929d9e2e85c9461bdae8.jpg729403ab4a8baade637164e98d880d5b.jpg

At this point Mr H suggested that my secret santa had done me over, but no actually there was this:

This fine array of Gentlemen were on the back, Is this a clue to the Identity of secret Santa?

*also included a whistle to find me keyring which has been snaffled by my son already.

Thanks to my match and to Chaseracer for organising, and to Nyphur for thinking up this harmless bit of fun.

Thanks Santa- an immaculate sales brochure for the Merc C-Class estate (if only the "Mingebag Mercedes" looked as good), a box of Toffiffe which I will eat playing DVLA registration checks from the 1988 Fast Lane magazine Santa sent me.

Great idea-some top Shiteing here.

One of these fine ornaments is my amazing giftpost-17414-0-25693300-1514213608_thumb.jpeg

Don't know how long I'll get away with it staying there, mind.

I was joking when I said it felt like an alternator, but those hours of sorting the Lucas B90 exchanges as a 16 year old obviously gave me an amazing ability to identify them by weight alone.

You can't see much detail in this dodgy iPad photo but it's actually a cutaway version of a genuine Lucas alternator. It came witha laminated diagram that is annotated as an education aid, I will thrill my family after lunch with all the details.

Thanks Secret Santa, Chaseracer and all involved in setting this up.

I got a brochure..... One I haven't got!

Full of proper cars with people wearing proper clothes.   Superb.

Luckily I still have room in my  70s/80s brochure cupboard....

Also, I received another gift which was extremely cannily wrapped.  Several times.  Each layer sprinkled with little silver stars.   I think there are still some in the bed!   Excellent!

By a stroke of good fortune my Top Trumps drawer has some room as well...

I resisted the urge to open my present up until the big day

When I first saw the egg I thought it was the signature of a certain Mondeo loving shitter from Kent, however the very tasty contents of the "Wee Sweetie Shop" bag make me believe that it was member from the north of the boarder who had me. Whomever it was, thank you. I will be looking forward to trouncing my family at the retro top trumps tomorrow (don't know what the story behind the egg is though).
