barrett
At the current rate of 'knock-down' I'm just gonna hold on for another three or four days when presumably you'll be offering a cash incentive for somebody to take it away uk_senator, purplebargeken, BorniteIdentity and 2 others
Yoss
I can't have another one but I'm happy to offer technical advice to any prospective buyers and practical help if it ends up on the south coast(ish). I've had mine for 22 years and I'll probably be buried in it. There aren't many jobs I haven't done. By the way you don't need a spring compressor to do a CV joint. I've found a way to remove driveshafts/CVs/Rotoflexes without even popping a ball joint. Thanks to the flexibility of said Rotoflexes you can knock the shaft out of the CV without disturbing anything else. Anyway glwts and all that and I'm following this one. purplebargeken
^^ That's handy to know Nice one. No further price lowering will occur I may pop this onto the fb group but would be very happy for this to remain in the shitter fold if possible. The current price is a shitter only price. Tickman
Have a bump from me so someone buys it and I can stop coming back to look at it. If it could move under its own power I probably would have already done something stupid* but getting it shifted up here would be too much for me at the moment. purplebargeken

purplebargeken
Back and leg sore today, plus tired. Will be over at the lock up tomorrow. Thought I had some pics from when I viewed the car but I have no idea where they are. Tickman
purplebargeken
The red dot signifies the general area that requires a small patch let in to the inner wing. The hole could be repaired if you wished but a wing is provided in case you CBA. Easy to get to and pretty uncomplicated patch needed. Engine. Lightly stripped, all bits tagged and bagged. Not bad at all really. Decent tyres fitted all round (ha, all round. Meh) Front valance looks nice and solid. This is a good thing. Trust me. Remote brake servo. Cor. A wipe down reveals some shine on the paint. Valencia Blue. Rear wheel arches need a little fettling but again, pretty straightforward. Seats. Front. Tan. Damaged. Rears are ace. Headlining has a bit of damage here and there. Dash is fine. Door cards are fine too. Carpet dirty and a bit shite. Best pics I could do as the light was shite and I couldn't push the car out on my own.

SiC
Yes! Being a small car it'd fit perfectly in your new garage. Great project to escape from house renovation. purplebargeken and Tamworthbay
barrett
Fair enough this does look great, and such a nice colour, but I'm deffo not in any sort of position for another project seeing as I don't even have one functioning vehicle to get me to and from work and whatnot purplebargeken

SiC
Looks nice but as I've just unexpectedly had an offer put on our house today, I'm well and truly out (for now). Maybe once we move and get a bigger garage that I can work in, if its still around I'll be up for it. Tickman and purplebargeken

purplebargeken
C'mon folks, save this little Triumph from the eBay mongs. Let's try and keep her in the fold. I will continue to clean up the wing area and temp refit the NOS wing. If a potential buyer wants to come down for the day we can try and tackle the CV joint. I can refit the bits and you could even drive it home. stephen01
Sigmund Fraud
you could even drive it home. Taking into consideration that picture of the offside chassis leg/strut turret, driving the car may not be such a good idea... Still, it does look lovely, and sounds like a straightforward project ! GLWTS and all that !
purplebargeken
It's okay for you to drive a short distance then immobilise the car with it's 1960's 'technology' which hopefully would confuse a whippersnapper member of the roadside repair brotherhood and thus enable you to obtain a lovely lift for the rest of the journey. purplebargeken
Thanks. I always try and remember to give the tyres extra air on stuff that is standing to prevent flat spots. I don't always remember - doh.
