Seat Toledo door fail moistened joy.

Hey folks, just out of interest (I'm resigned to living with it for the meanwhile I guess),  has anyone on here ever solved the problem of getting the rear nearside door open on one of these when the central locking motor has failed?  I have a sneaking suspicion that it's a major ballache to sort.

It has the popular 'moistened carpet' option and getting the door card off whilst it's shut looks fairly impossible...

Just wondering like...

Cheers

I think your best option is to buy a new doorcard (which if it's a late Toledo, should be shared with the Leon... if it's an early one, good luck!) and then hack into the existing one to open the door.

Alternatively, detailed photos may help you use small holes, or "slim jim" type tools to pop the lock up

In later news, I left it in at the garage today to get the timing belt (there was no history with the car and the engine was pure filth!) and water pump done, also full service.

Went down to pick it up after work and paid £LOTS.

Only to be told that "the flywheel is shuddering mate, might last you 6 months..."

I had been hoping to gain some positivity for my borrowed pennies.

Grump.
