I know I did not have a chance to clean the inside of the Picarso, but I did not think it was that bad! Bucketeer
I'm just having a short pitstop at Gretna services now.The Picasso is great. I already feel more of a connection with it than I did with the SAAB and maybe even the C15. Like the AX, the Picasso feels like it wants to please you, albeit in different ways. I'm already thinking it might be a keeper. If I'm it's last owner then I'll have freedom to do whatever I want. If I want to attach an onyx tiger to the dashboard with self tappers I can. Also, for the 1.6 8v naysayers, it's fine to drive. Cruises well, accelerates well, and is currently giving me 43mpg. Saabnut
Excellent! I also got to like it much more than I expected in my short ownership! Good luck with the border crossing and the rest of the journey!
bezzabsa
1.6 8v appear to be the best of the bunch, very seldom see rusty ones apart from patches on the sills, seem to cope with high miles, and are actually quite comfy, mates had 3 of em and loves them.. borrowed a 2.0 diesel and hated it...horses for courses I guess

Bucketeer
^^^ What's baffling you Maxwell? I'm back safe now anyway. Soz, I forgot the three rings. I did indeed arrive back early this morning, just in time to change clothes and go to work. The Picasso was an immense companion, faultless and relaxing all the way. The driver was less immense, and ended up sleeping for about 5hrs in some service station somewhere in England. YESDid I actually want a Picasso? NODid I meet a nice man and squeeze a tiny little adventure into my hectic drudgery? YES. Also, I think we both need a bit of re-educating. I've learned to love the versatility of the Girlfriend's Scenic but it's horrible for me to drive, the Picasso is a much more relaxed comfortable drive and suits me much better.I either feel a connection with a car or I don't, and this one is my new friend. dollywobbler
Fun fact - I drove a Picasso when they first came out. Just wandered into Citroen Birmingham as a spotty 21 year old and asked if I could have a test drive. I was given the keys to a metallic red one and sent on my way! Amazing. I found it jolly pleasant, and realise my hatred of them stems almost entirely from the sort of people who drive them - anyone remember the one we saw on the Shitefest Cymru convoy in Aberaeron? Ahem - I edit this to say that clearly that was years ago, and these days, Picassos are owed only by the coolest dudes, who are hopefully just interested in Autotesting them. eddyramrod, Skizzer, The Moog and 1 other

Saabnut
Delighted you made it back OK. I had no* doubt it would be fine! Seriously I did about 600 miles in it without problem (and got to like it!) but you always worry when you sell a car you do not know that well. V5c put into your name today so you should be fine taxing it from tomorrow onwards. Thanks again, hope you marked my location on the SatNav so you can find your way back for Shitefest18 which I am looking forward to! Bucketeer
^^^^ Updates? Okay. You (literally) asked for it. The Picasso is great. I'm already thinking it might be a keeper. Yeah . . . erm . . . right. The Picasso was great but wasn't a keeper. Sold to a guy at work after his 307 expired. Goodbye brave soulja. Our time was brief but you taught me much. I'm back safe now anyway. Soz, I forgot the three rings.I did indeed arrive back early this morning, just in time to change clothes and go to work. The Picasso was an immense companion, faultless and relaxing all the way. The driver was less immense, and ended up sleeping for about 5hrs in some service station somewhere in England. 4hrs 2mins actually. Which apparently is forbidden. Balls. Also, the C15 was sold the other week. I barely used it in the time I had it. Soz it didn't work out little van. Can we still be friends? The AX is still with me OBVS.A while back, the poor thing was attacked with white paint. Well, attacked by a horrible bastard wielding white paint anyway. I tried the best I could to remove all traces but annoyingly some bits of paint are much more stubborn. And double annoyingly there was a pool of paint in the top of the door frame that I hadn't spotted before I jet washed it. A couple of days ago, after one too many speed hump scrapes, the old exhaust repair fell off on the way home from work. I braved the cataclysmic noise and limped the car back to the garage. It was minus plenty degrees C and I had no parts or owt with me so a rushed temporary repair with whatever I had to hand was attempted before the dark and hypothermia set in. Now that the C15 and the Picasso have gone, the AX is all alone. I have tried to remedy that situation but so far missed out on five different cars by a few minutes each time. My want/need has now increased as I discovered yesterday that the AX is not due an MOT in July like I believed, but is in fact due an MOT on the 3rd of March. Bugger.
