So this replaced the bike that replaced the Yamaha, the bike that replaced the Yamaha was a Lexmoto, so impressed I was with that I lent it long term to an ex to pass her test, so I went out and bought this. Not as good as the Lexmoto but actually not entirely shit either. 9 years old, an MOT until January, chugs along nicely with 15k on the clock and so far just seems to work and, dare I say it, is quite good fun but I'm a big fella and feel a bit daft on it. I've got a new AJS 250 arriving next week so using it until then when it will be tucked in the corner. Obviously, offers swaps etc are encouraged!

Good points:

Always starts

Good on fuel

Bits are cheap

It has a fuel gauge

Handles well

Errr...

Bad Points:

Chinese

End of the clutch lever broken off (still works fine though)

Leccy start isn't working

Got an insurance marker on it

Here it is:

I've never been on a motorbike before - is it still the case that you could ride a 125 indefinitely on a car license without any training / test ?

It's probably a bit ambitious to bring this to Scotland :)

No - you need to do a CBT - however CBT is simple unless you have no arms or legs.

If you took the front wheel off (and that wanky wonky mudguard) it'd probably fit in the back of Felicia Diesel if you could find a cheap one locally.

As Chinese tat goes these Wangers are actually not bad. As an aside, has someone put the front mudguard on back to front??

It is actually the right way round but bolted through the wrong holes...works though!

It's probably worth adding that the CBT only lasts for two years, then you have to do another one or pass your test.

The company is part owned by ho da and assembles a lot of honda stuff sent over there I ckdk form.
Not sure if this cg clone is very honda in its make up or not.
The fact that its done 8 years and hasnt grenaded or dissolved suggests ots probably one of the better chinese bikes

I was on it this morning and it really is quite a pleasant thing, in a Chinese sort of way, hardly a thoroughbred but not totally shit...

Castle Douglas funnily enough, I'm sure it can be persuaded to go a bit further!
