before i brave the buyers of gumtree and the like,i thought i would offer this for sale here.

ive owned it 3 times over the past 2 years, and have no room to keep it

its done just short of 76000 miles, and the condition and mot history seem to back it up nicely.

it has a couple of minor dinks and a broken fog light which i have repaired with gaffa tape but is presentable, photos will be on tomorrow.

mot until 9th feb 18.

on the last mot i fitted new discs and pads, both ball joints and drop links,as well as a new exhaust, and 4 tyres.

the rear shocks needs replacing,i have a new pair and will fit these before it goes.

i also need to have a look at the remote locking, but locks off the key fine.

i have only one key.

i have removed the rear arch liners to check seat belt anchor points and all is superb.

1998 on an s plate.

im looking for £300,or project bike

near j16 m6 stoke

I remember the first time I drove one of these it was an early petrol model for about three miles in town and I was a bit disappointed after hearing good things. The second time was a year later when I drove a late HDi DTurbo with the GTi bodykit on the Fosse Way. It had been remapped and played about with and it ignited my love for 80's and 90's PSA shite that has endured to this day. Lovely stuff.

Did you have to have the back axle changed for the last mot? Sorry if I've missed where you mention that if you did already.

i didnt change the axle, just checked the arms for play, there was none.

i did the bearings on another that i used to have, not difficult to do but time consuming.they look a bit flimsy for the job that they do,just needle roller bearings each side.

Very nice. Sadly a couple years too young for me.

I do hope there are still some nice enough 20+ year old ones for me to try properly as a daily.

These have got to be the prettiest run-of-the-mill hatchbacks of ever and ever.

Agreed, they got the styling of these absolutely spot on, and somehow where most cars get uglier following a facelift these were made even prettier.
