nigel bickle
9am this morning..... Wasn that parked behind the Dattie? Seems some kind gentleman in a blue car elected to re-arrange mine last night;- but didnt feel the need to own up.Must have been a fun drive home -without headlights... So. Anyone interested in a 30,000 mile (all MOT's to prove) booted 903cc 127? Cheap!! Reckon its a reasonably simple repair- (might even have the damn panels) but I'm not well enough to take it on-right now, so its over the bridge -unless someone wants it. Taxed till Sept-so it could sit a little while-if you're serious... Revo's dont come with it -I'm afraid
Guest
Crikey, considering how far it looks to have been chucked it seems to have taken the impact pretty well indeed! Tossers. Looks repairable at least.
nigel bickle
Tis-just not by me. dollywobbler
Isn't it great living in a society where after having an accident, the first thought is to escape? Whether you hit a car or a child in some cases...Very sorry to see this Nigel. Hope someone can take it on!
trigger
Must of hit it pretty hard, Did the neighbours not hear anything?.Time to take a drive around the block to look for a freshly damaged car then.

nigel bickle
Phoned the rozzers this 9am morning. ''Sorry, we will note,& supply a Ref number, but we won't be sending anyone out -but you MUST produce your docs WITHIN 24hours.Oh I see there aren't any Police stations open until Monday morning...So- I wont be able to report it for at least 25hours...''Yes-you'll technically be in breach, and therefore liable for prosecution-but I'll make a note on the file...''In the meantime will you be looking for a scrote in a blue car with a crumpled wing & no lights?''We'll certainly keep our eyes open....''So- as it stands- if I'm not on the doorstep-with all the relevant, current paperwork when they open (at 10am!)tomorrow- I'M liable for prosecution...Looking for the miscreant? Minimad5
Lets hope its only suspension damage an nothin' major like the Chassis Hope you find the culprit an have the car happily repaired by a fellow Autoshiter - Keep it in the family 'ey
wuvvum
Bugger. Hate to see that happen to such a rare little car - I've always had a soft spot for 127s too. You don't seem to have a lot of luck in your dealings with the old bill either, do you? Unfortunately I'm completely out of space at the moment (at least until someone buys the Carlsson and/or the Skoda) or I'd have been tempted to take it on myself, as long as the chassis wasn't bent. pompei
That's a real shame as they are great little cars with a surprisingly small following - pitch one of these against a Nova and see what the spotty youfs make of it.
nigel bickle
Feds checking it tomorrow-then we'll assess/move.Right now I'm not permitted to even open the bonnet to evaluate.Wuvvum-you have pm.

nigel bickle
Lets see how bad it is. Its got tax till Sept-so can sit if needs be, but the neighbours will kick off if I leave it too long...
nigel bickle
Well- news isnt that bad-although it must have been one hell of an impact:- Damage seems confined to the strut- which is badly bent, driveshaft, wishbone, rack & a/rollbar all look straight-and act normally through the range. Chassis looks unmarked although it clearly flexed a little as some of the underseal popped. I have a new, spare, strut that go with it,together with a used (but good)spare disc Just in case!) - IF someone intends to restore. Got about a week I reckon, before the neighbours kick off- or the local kids take an interest....
