michael t
Hi all, my previous spottings have disappeared due to some Photobucket meltdown (which was probably completely my fault). So I have decided to start a new thread with all of the shite seen since my last update on my previous thread which was in June 2016. Will throw some pictures up this evening. Which is the best photo hosting website to use? or can I just whack a load of images up on here and place them into the thread?
Dirk Diggler
I'm not using hosting again; photofukit has ruined every forum I visit Upload direct; I don't know if there's a file size limit on here though
tooSavvy
I have waved Good-by to my 'MrSavvy' posts, on POC-UK (9 yrs!) On flickr now - got cut 'n shut down to an art now... TS
adw1977
Photobucket have fucked everyone over, but you should still be able to retrieve the photos you posted with them, just not display them anywhere until you have uploaded them again. Direct upload to this forum is the safest bet. I've used Flickr for years, but they are owned by Yahoo who have recently been taken over by a company called Oath, so who knows what might happen there. michael t
Wonderfully run down council house with a knackered Mk2 Cortina, must have sat there at least 20 years. Boot floor had completely rotted out as the spare tyre was hanging out over the rear overhang. House now being renovated and car sadly sold on a breakers website. Must find the pictures from the online advert which showed the true extent of the Cortina's corrosion. Dirk Diggler
I haven't see an R19 Supervan* for years, let alone an R5 (they were rare even then) does that one have kinda alloys on it (I'm convinced it lived near me in the mid / late 90s) Great pics *"Super" in the 19 consisted of a body color stripe on the seats, plip central locking, electric windows and alloyohehad steel wheels bhoy, and that horrible 1.9 diesel engine. And cheap tax and insurance. And the ability to fit 10 people in the back post football match, drinking session or funeral michael t
tooSavvy
If anyone on here knows of/can hook up with kevstarlet, on RR, then mebbies an 'Auto$hitely' could relay my Carina II Grille back to UK turf?? TS

sierraman
Cars are really expensive in Eire, in fact it was a decent earner a while back selling UK sourced stuff like Focus Diesel estates and punting them on in Ireland as they were worth so much more there. michael t and Tadhg Tiogar
michael t
^^ They most certainly are, I'll be buying my next motor either in the North or mainland Britain, huge savings to be had. Zantimisfit, Six-cylinder and Datsuncog

michael t
^^ same! wasn't even me who spotted it, my mate couldn't quite grasp the level of Autoshitery he'd just witnessed. DVLA says its currently SORN'd which would explain why its being driven around the Donegal side of the border. Screenshotted this from a homemade holiday video of Cork from 1990 on YouTube, its no wonder the Irish MOT was introduced shortly after in order to get dangerous crocks of shit like this off the road (although it is of course the essence of Autoshite) Berlin Polo Visited the VW museum in central Berlin while on holiday in January this year. Some fascinating stuff Always like to do comparison shots between different models. Here is my '08 Polo daily with its older brother, some major similarities carried down through the years Wonderfully original Corolla, these along with Carina's of the same age are still a relatively common sight over here To say I was Delighted to spot this Cavalier (or Vectra over here) would be a humongous understatement! In-bloody-credible!!! Dirk Diggler, mk2_craig and Mr Laurence
Dirk Diggler
That Sunny from 1990 wouldn't have been terrible by the standards of the day; there was plenty round these parts missing panels, I can remember a mk3 Cortina with no wings in use until 1992 Don't suppose that picture of the rotten mk2 Cortina was taken in Greystones? There's a house in Kindlestown park that used to be surrounded with at least 10 cars, it's 5 years since I was there and thought they'd had a clean out! There's a 92 Dyna up the road that I daily see with a ton and a half of timber in the bed and at least the same again in the rickiest trailer in the country; there's no exhaust on the truck but it is clean. Insurance disc only / sans tax / test. Sure he's only going local Again, great pics; I don't even carry a phone but you've inspired me to stick the camera in the car and start a thread; I even saw an Umm today parked Ireland still is shite heaven; I'm amazed on here because so many things you see are rusty; cheap bastards not salting the roads here really keeps cars so much better underneath michael t
