Silverlake (breakers) visited yesterday prices seem to have reduced

Visited Silverlake, massive tidy breakers in Hampshire to find a Mk2 Cav estate and an immaculate Mk2 Fiesta.  They're doing a £50 for all you can carry on a Thursday in August - check with them please.

Can't remember when I last saw a Cav estate in particular.

Their prices aren't the lowest but the place is tidy and well organised.  There was an E reg silver Sierra in the prep yard as well, no idea what that's destiny is.

Fuck these aresholes.

I bought a rear Mondeo Titanium X Sport bumper from them, from a 40K mile breaker, in extremely good condition in the pics, and also verified by them.

When it arrived it looked as though they had been playing football in the yard with it, before packaging it.

Dicks.

By the way, there's a sign on the Fiesta saying speak to the staff before taking parts so what the plan is, I don't know.

Probably someone tried ringing a Fiesta/reshelling and got caught out. It looks very clean there... and they're so mechancally simple and OMgFord values it'd be fixed and sold if legally feasible surely...

I stuggle to get any Shuma or Rialto bits. No Shuma's and the Rialto's are always picked bare.

What you need to do is visit some of the local Kia dealers, chance your arm on them having loads of Shuma bits lying about forgotten about upstairs in the parts department that otherwise they are never going to shift, nobody else is going to come in wanting them, and theyre never going to get retail price so theyd probably sell you the whole lot for a decent figure as its better than them getting skipped and them getting nothing.

But do it now before they do get chucked, when I worked in main dealers usually stuff got skipped in a parts department clear out every 5 years, if it was for a car older than 15years old by that point it was definite, anything sitting prominent for even 3/4 years got skipped. Once saw a genuine Irmscher styling kit RRP about a grand getting launched in  a skip at the Vauxhall dealer next door to us. They would never even offer us the stuff cheap or ask incase we mightve knew someone who wanted it for cheap. Then our place had a load of Xsara bits getting launched, only 1 guy in the branch owned a Xsara and the stuff was no use to him so it just got binned. wasteful!
