pauldoubleyou
Living in Dumbarton and looking to get an engine crane somehow for about a week to hoist an engine in place, spot weld mounts in, remove it, weld mounts up, leave engine in. Happy to buy one but would be selling it on again immediately. Local hire companies dont hire them due to being H&S issues with lifting equipment Answers on a postcard
doug
Got one near Ayr but you need to collect it and return it. Heavy and big but fits in a larger estate car.

Uncle Jimmy
Engine crane, invalid hoist, not much difference in the kind of weight they have to shift, apart from an Essex V6 perhaps, although I'd imagine Lisa Riley would size up there. Why in this wonderful country of ours is a 7 stone OAP expected to haul a spouse about yet a grown man can't lift an engine out of a car??

You need two people to safely hoist someone and they're usually trained carers.
