Split_Pin
Growing up, I felt that these were everywhere, propelled in part no doubt by the fact that there was only one car dealer in Linlithgow where I grew up, called Regent Motors. Millars of Falkirk were also just a few miles away. My mum had a 1992 J plate Fiesta MK3 Fiesta which was, as far as I could tell from the mainline brochure, 100% a Popular Plus model that they were trying to shift before the updated MK3 was released. My mates mum at the time had a local dealer special MK3 Fiesta on an H plate called a Regency which was a base model with gold wheel trims, gold coach line and a rear lip spoiler. And then there's the Fiesta, Transit and Escort 'Bonus' models which were anything but. I also remember names like Sapphire, Quartz, Quartet were applied to Eacorts and Fiestas at the time. One of the models that was actually nice was the run out MK4 Escort Eclipses. Metallic paint and an XR3i rear spoiler. I'll try and grab some stock Google images of why I'm talking about later on, anyone else got any?
RoadworkUK
Ford was churning out special editions on an almost monthly basis, my favourites being the (original) Fiesta Flight with its natty Concorde graphics, and the somewhat effete Escort Dash cabrio. Dealer editions are an altogether rarer delicacy. My local Toyota dealer, Coronation used to knock up Coronation specials, with two-tone paint. The local giffers couldn't get enough of them. somewhatfoolish, michael t and HMC

Shep Shepherd
Folk in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset (and possibly south Essex) got the Fiesta "Meridian" in either metallic red or metallic blue in early 1993, to celebrate Meridian Broadcasting taking over from Television South as the regional ITV television broadcaster on January 1st that year. If I recall correctly, Stephen Fry did the voiceover for the TV advert: Lucky old us. HMC, BorniteIdentity, Datsuncog and 4 others

Junkman
Die first in Dusseldorf? What kind of advertising is that for a hearse? Very appropriate given that Düsseldorf is about as entertaining as a hearse interior.Twice the size of Vienna's central cemetary, but only half as merry. mercrocker
